The present research aimed to determine the clinical significance of non-accepted Pharmaceutical Interventions (PI) in medical prescriptions at Clínica Internacional San Borja in 2017. The study was applied, descriptive, retrospective, and cross-sectional in orientation, and was conducted in the Hospital Pharmacy services, specifically in the Unit Dose area at Clínica Internacional San Borja. The study population consisted of 309 non-accepted Pharmaceutical Interventions during the year 2017. The study sample was composed of 188 non-accepted Pharmaceutical Interventions from hospitalized patients at the clinic. Data collection was carried out using the FOR–FAR-024 form (Pharmaceutical Interventions Format). The instrument for evaluating the clinical significance of the pharmaceutical interventions was designed and validated according to the methodology of Clopés and Col., adapted for this study. Data were analyzed using the statistical software SPSS, Version 23.0. The following results were obtained: from a sample of 191 non-accepted Pharmaceutical Interventions, 57.1% were classified as highly significant, 27.7% as significant, 6.8% as extremely significant, and 8.4% as indifferent. It was determined that the non-accepted Pharmaceutical Interventions in medical prescriptions at Clínica Internacional San Borja in 2017 were clinically highly significant in 57.1% of cases.
Resumen
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la significancia clínica de las Intervenciones Farmacéuticas (IF) no aceptadas de las prescripciones médicas en la Clínica Internacional San Borja 2017. El estudio es de orientación aplicada, descriptiva, con direccionalidad retrospectiva y transversal, realizó en los servicios de Farmacia Hospitalaria en el área de Dosis Unitaria en la Clínica Internacional - San Borja en una población de 309 de Intervenciones Farmacéuticas no aceptadas durante todo el año 2017. La muestra de estudio estuvo formada por 188 Intervenciones Farmacéuticas no aceptadas de los pacientes hospitalizados en clínica. La recolección de datos se realizó mediante FOR–FAR-024 (Formato de intervenciones farmacéuticas). El instrumento de evaluación de la significancia clínica de las intervenciones farmacéuticas fue diseñado y validado según la metodología de Clopés y Col, adaptada para el presente estudio. Los datos obtenidos fueron analizados con el programa estadístico SPSS Versión 23.0. Se obtuvieron los siguientes resultados; de una muestra de 191 IF no aceptadas, el 57,1% fueron muy significativas, 27,7% significativas, 6,8% extremadamente significativa y 8,4% indiferentes. Se determinó que las Intervenciones Farmacéuticas no aceptadas de las prescripciones médicas en la Clínica Internacional San Borja 2017 fueron clínicamente muy significativas en un 57,1%.
