Protocolos de bioseguridad COVID-19 y el riesgo laboral del odontólogo colegiado de la Región Callao, Lima 2022

Abstract

La bioseguridad en la práctica dental ante la presencia del COVID-19, junto al grado de conocimiento y aplicación de estos, son de suma importancia tanto para proteger al paciente como al profesional y así evitar el contagio del virus, teniendo presente que el virus pueda presentarse sin síntomas. El OBJETIVO del estudio ha sido establecer como el grado de conocimiento del protocolo de bioseguridad Covid19 se relaciona con la percepción de riesgo laboral del odontólogo, se aplicó el MÉTODO hipotético deductivo con un planteamiento cuantitativo de alcance correlacional, conformado por una muestra de 217 odontólogos que cumplió los criterios de selección. Se recolecto la información a través de 2 cuestionarios(1 por variable) el procesamiento de resultados fue con el software estadístico SPSS versión 25, se utilizó la prueba no paramétrica de Rho de Spearman. RESULTADO el valor p obtenido 0.656, que es mayor que el valor alfa, por lo que rechazamos la hipótesis alterna (H1). CONCLUSIÓN: No tenemos pruebas que nos permitan afirmar, de forma fiable y significativa, que hay correlación del grado de conocimiento de los protocolos de bioseguridad Covid 19 y la percepción de riesgo laboral del odontólogo colegiado de la región Callao, Lima 2022.

Biosafety in the dental practice in the presence of COVID-19, together with the degree of knowledge and application of these protocols, are of the utmost importance for protecting both the patient and the professional and thus avoiding the spread of the virus, bearing in mind that the virus can present itself without symptoms. The OBJECTIVE of the study was to establish how the degree of knowledge of the Covid19 biosafety protocol is related to the dentist’s perception of occupational risk. The hypothetical deductive METHOD was applied with a quantitative approach of correlational scope, comprising a sample of 217 dentists who met the selection criteria. The information was collected through 2 questionnaires (1 per variable) and the results were processed with SPSS version 25 statistical software, using Spearman's Rho nonparametric test. RESULT The p-value obtained 0.656, which is greater than the alpha value, so we reject the alternative hypothesis (H1). CONCLUSION: We do not have evidence that allows us to state, reliably and significantly, that there is a correlation between the degree of knowledge of the Covid 19 biosafety protocols and the perception of occupational risk of the registered dentist in the Callao region, Lima 2022.
