Relación entre el biotipo facial y la posición radiográfica del hueso hioides en pacientes del centro odontológico Digital Center, Lima 2024

Abstract

El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la relación entre el biotipo facial y la posición radiográfica del hioides en el establecimiento de salud Digital Center. El estudio fue metodológicamente de enfoque cuantitativo y temporalidad retrospectiva, donde se revisaron 184 radiografías cefalométricas, donde para el registro de los datos fue realizada en una ficha mediante la aplicación del análisis de Bjork Jarabak para el biotipo y el triángulo hioideo de Rocabado para la posición del hueso hioides. Se encontró que el biotipo más recurrente fue el mesofacial (48,9%), la posición del hioides fue la intermedia (46,2%) y las personas evaluadas con biotipo braquifacial y dolicofacial presentaron alteraciones de la posición de hueso hioides en un 26% y 21.2%. En inferencia se obtuvieron valores de correlación de p = 0. 000 en cada biotipo evaluado específicamente y general. Se concluye que existe una relación significativa entre el biotipo facial y la posición radiográfica del hioides en el establecimiento de salud Digital Center.

The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between facial biotype and radiographic position of the hyoid bone in patients from the Digital Center dental center. The study was methodologically quantitative and retrospective in time, where 184 cephalometric radiographs were reviewed, the data records were made in a file by applying the Bjork Jarabak analysis for the biotype and the Rocabado hyoid triangle for the hyoid bone position. The descriptive results were that the most frequent biotype was the mesofacial (48.9%), the hyoid position was intermediate (46.2%) and the people evaluated with brachyfacial and dolichofacial biotypes presented alterations in the hyoid bone position in 26% and 21.2%. In inference, correlation values of p = 0. 000 were obtained in each biotype evaluated specifically and generally. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the facial biotype and the radiographic position of the hyoid bone in patients at the Digital Center dental center.
