Relación entre resultados del test no estresante y Apgar del recién nacido en madres del Centro Materno Infantil César López Silva, enero a marzo 2023

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los resultados del test no estresante y el puntaje de Apgar del recién nacido en madres atendidas en el Centro Materno Infantil César López Silva, Villa El Salvador, durante el periodo de enero a marzo de 2023. Material y métodos: Estudio de tipo descriptivo, correlacional, retrospectivo y transversal. Se incluyeron 73 gestantes con embarazos a término, atendidas entre enero y marzo de 2023, que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. Para el análisis estadístico se utilizó la prueba de chi cuadrado. Resultados: La mayoría de las participantes tenía entre 20 y 34 años (75.3%), eran convivientes (87.7%), tenían secundaria completa (80.8%), un solo hijo (58.9%), gestación entre 37 y 40 semanas (52.1%) y más de seis controles prenatales (73.97%). El 78.1% presentó un test no estresante reactivo (8 a 10) y un puntaje de Apgar al minuto dentro de parámetros normales (78.1%). Se encontró una relación significativa entre los resultados del test no estresante y el Apgar al minuto (p = 0.000). Conclusión: Se concluye que existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre el test no estresante y el puntaje de Apgar del recién nacido, lo que permite confirmar la hipótesis planteada en la investigación.

Objective: To determine the relationship between non-stress test results and newborn Apgar scores in mothers treated at the César López Silva Maternal and Child Center in Villa El Salvador, from January to March 2023. Material and methods: A descriptive, correlational, retrospective, and cross-sectional study was conducted. Seventy-three pregnant women with full-term pregnancies, treated between January and March 2023, who met the inclusion criteria were included. The chi-square test was used for statistical analysis. Results: The majority of participants were between 20 and 34 years old (75.3%), were cohabiting (87.7%), had completed secondary education (80.8%), had only one child (58.9%), were pregnant between 37 and 40 weeks (52.1%), and had more than six prenatal checkups (73.97%). A reactive non-stress test (8 to 10) and a 1-minute Apgar score within normal limits were found in 78.1%. A significant relationship was found between the results of the non-stress test and the 1-minute Apgar score (p = 0.000). Conclusion: A statistically significant relationship exists between the non-stress test and the newborn's Apgar score, confirming the research hypothesis.
