Inteligencia emocional y desempeño laboral del personal de enfermería que labora en el Instituto Nacional de Oftalmología, Lima 2024

Abstract

El estudio se realizó con el objetivo de determinar la relación entre la inteligencia emocional y desempeño laboral del personal de enfermería que labora en el Instituto Nacional de Oftalmología, Lima 2024. La metodología consideró el enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, con diseño no experimental, transversal y alcance descriptivo – correlacional. La población fue de 118 miembros del personal de enfermería y mediante muestreo probabilístico se determinó una muestra de 90 integrantes de la población. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta; el instrumento para medir la variable inteligencia emocional fue un cuestionario con 24 preguntas y para la medición de la variable desempeño laboral se empleó un cuestionario con 14 ítems. Se concluyó que existe un grado de correlación positiva alta entre la inteligencia emocional y el desempeño laboral, con un r = 0,743. También se encontró relación entre la dimensión atención emocional, claridad emocional y reparación emocional con el desempeño laboral, con un r= ,575, r=,423 y r=818 respectivamente. Se concluyó que existe relación positiva alta entre las variables de estudio y entre las tres dimensiones de la variable inteligencia emocional con la variable desempeño laboral.

The study was carried out with the objective of determining the relationship between emotional intelligence and work performance of nursing staff who work at the National Institute of Ophthalmology, Lima 2024. The methodology considered the quantitative approach, of an applied type, with a non-experimental design, transversal and descriptive – correlational scope. The population was 118 members of the nursing staff and through probabilistic sampling a sample of 90 members of the population was determined. The technique used was the survey; The instrument to measure the emotional intelligence variable was a questionnaire with 24 questions and to measure the job performance variable a questionnaire with 14 items was used. It was concluded that there is a high degree of positive correlation between emotional intelligence and job performance, with r = 0.743. A relationship was also found between the dimension emotional attention, emotional clarity and emotional repair with work performance, with r=.575, r=.423 and r=818 respectively. It was concluded that there is a high positive relationship between the study variables and between the three dimensions of the emotional intelligence variable with the job performance variable.
