Dosaje de perfil lipídico y glucosa en pacientes con hipertensión que acuden al Centro de Salud San Antonio Bajo, 2024

Abstract

Este estudio tiene como objetivo general demostrar la correlación entre el dosaje del perfil lipídico y los niveles de glucosa en pacientes con hipertensión arterial atendidos en el centro de Salud San Antonio Bajo, 2025. Esta investigación es de tipo aplicada, con enfoque cuantitativo, nivel descriptivo-correlacional y diseño no experimental de corte transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 120 pacientes hipertensos, de dicha población se obtuvo una muestra probabilística de 92 participantes, seleccionados mediante muestreo aleatorio simple. Para la recolección de datos se empleó la revisión documental de historias clínicas y una encuesta estructurada sobre hábitos en salud, validada por juicio de expertos y con confiabilidad aceptable. Los resultados evidenciaron que el perfil lipídico se correlaciona de manera positiva moderada con la glucosa (r=0.507; p=0.000). En particular, se observó asociación significativa entre colesterol total (r=0.442), HDL (r=0.258), LDL (r=0.626) y VLDL (r=0.768) con la glucosa; mientras que los triglicéridos mostraron correlación baja y no significativa (r=0.187; p=0.074). Asimismo, la mayoría de los pacientes refirió hábitos saludables, como dieta baja en grasas (72.8%), reducción de azúcares (54.3%) y actividad física regular (53.3%). Se concluye que las alteraciones lipídicas, en especial LDL y VLDL, se asocian significativamente con la glucemia, constituyendo un factor de riesgo metabólico relevante en pacientes hipertensos.

The general objective of this study is to demonstrate the correlation between the dosage of the lipid profile and glucose levels in patients with arterial hypertension treated at the San Antonio Bajo Health Center, 2025. This research is applied, with a quantitative approach, descriptive correlational level and non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 120 hypertensive patients, from this population a probabilistic sample of 92 participants was obtained, selected by simple random sampling. For the collection of data, the documentary review of medical records and a structured survey on health habits were used, validated by expert opinion and with acceptable reliability. The results showed that the lipid profile correlates in a moderate positive way with glucose (r=0.507; p=0.000). In particular, significant association was observed between total cholesterol (r=0.442), HDL (r=0.258), LDL (r=0.626) and VLDL (r=0.768) with glucose; while triglycerides showed low and non-significant correlation (r=0.187; p=0.074). Likewise, most patients reported healthy habits, such as low fat diet (72.8%), reduced sugars (54.3%) and regular physical activity (53.3%). It is concluded that lipid alterations, especially LDL and VLDL, are significantly associated with glycemia, constituting a relevant metabolic risk factor in hypertensive patients.
