Impacto psicológico de la COVID-19 en estudiantes de la Clínica Integral de Odontología de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima 2023

Abstract

El presente trabajo tuvo por objetivo en determinar el impacto psicológico durante la Covid-19 en estudiantes de la Clínica Integral de Odontología de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima 2023. Investigación de enfoque cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo, transversal y no experimental. La muestra lo conformaron 124 estudiantes de la Clínica Integral, del semestre académico 2023-I, a los cuales se les aplicó una encuesta empleando el cuestionario DASS-21, durante el mes de abril. Los resultados encontrados respecto al impacto psicológico en los estudiantes, fue normal en el 36,3 %, un impacto leve en el 34,7 %, seguido por moderado en el 17,7 %, severo en el 8,1 % y extremadamente severo en el 3,2 %. Considerando las dimensiones depresión, ansiedad y estrés en los estudiantes;se encontró respecto a la depresión que fue normal en el 37,9 %, la depresión leve fue en el 30,6 %, seguido por moderado en el 29,8 % y extremadamente severo en el 1,6 %; concerniente a la ansiedad, fue normal en el 21,8 %, pero con ansiedad leve el 32,3 %, moderado el 25 %, severo el 11,3 % y extremadamente severo el 9,7 %; y respecto a la dimensión estrés, fue normal en el 72,6 %, con estrés leve el 13,7 %, moderado el 8,9 %, severo el 4 % y extremadamente severo el 0,8 %. Se concluye que el impacto psicológico durante la Covid 19 en los estudiantes fue en mayor porcentaje normal, seguido por el nivel de impacto leve, moderado, severo y extremadamente severo.

The objective of this work was to determine the psychological impact during Covid-19 on students of the Comprehensive Dentistry Clinic of the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2023. Research with a quantitative approach of a descriptive, transversal and non experimental type. The sample was made up of 124 students from the Clínica Integral, from the 2023-I academic semester, to whom a survey was applied using the DASS-21 questionnaire, during the month of April. The results found regarding the psychological impact on the students were normal in 36.3%, a mild impact in 34.7%, followed by moderate in 17.7%, severe in 8.1% and extremely severe. at 3.2%. Considering the dimensions of depression, anxiety and stress in students; Regarding depression, it was found to be normal in 37.9%, mild depression was in 30.6%, followed by moderate in 29.8% and extremely severe in 1.6%; Concerning anxiety, it was normal in 21.8%, but with mild anxiety in 32.3%, moderate in 25%, severe in 11.3% and extremely severe in 9.7%; and regarding the stress dimension, it was normal in 72.6%, with mild stress in 13.7%, moderate in 8.9%, severe in 4% and extremely severe in 0.8%. It is concluded that the psychological impact during Covid-19 on students was in the highest percentage normal, followed by the level of mild, moderate, severe and extremely severe impact.
