La adherencia al TARGA y los niveles de carga viral de pacientes VIH en el Centro Materno Infantil San José, 2022-2023

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre adherencia del TARGA y los niveles de carga viral de los pacientes que ingresaron con VIH en el Centro Materno Infantil San José durante el período del enero 2022 a enero 2023. Materiales y métodos: Se asumió bajo un enfoque cuantitativo y el diseño fue correlacional de tipo transversal. Un total de 83 informantes represento la muestra, siendo la técnica aplicada la encuesta. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el Cuestionario CEAT-VIH y los datos de la carga viral registrados en las historias clínicas. Resultados: Hubo relación entre adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral y carga viral (p<0,05). En la adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral, prevaleció el valor adecuado (43,4%), seguido de estricto (33,7%), bajo (12%) e insuficiente (10,8%). Según dimensiones en cumplimiento del tratamiento prevaleció el valor adecuado (56,6%), en antecedentes de la falta a adherencia prevaleció el valor estricto (55,4%), en interacción médico y paciente el valor estricto (55,4), en creencias del paciente el valor estricto (56,6%), en estrategia para acordarse de tomar sus medicamentos, prevaleció el valor si (63,9%); finalmente, en carga viral prevaleció el valor indetectable (89,2%). Conclusiones: Existe relación entre adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral y carga viral.

Objective: To determine the relationship between HAART adherence and viral load levels of patients admitted with HIV to the San José Maternal and Child Center during the period from January 2022 to January 2023. Materials and methods: The approach was quantitative and the design was correlational and cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 81 informants, and the technique used was a survey. The instruments used were the CEAT-VIH Questionnaire and the viral load data recorded in the history. Results: There was a relationship between adherence to antiretroviral treatment and viral load (p < 0.05). In adherence to antiretroviral treatment, the value adequate prevailed (43.4%), followed by strict (33.7%), low (12%) and insufficient (10.8%). According to dimensions in compliance with treatment, the value adequate prevailed (56.6%), in history of non-adherence, the value strict prevailed (55.4%), in doctor-patient interaction, the value strict (55.4%), in patient beliefs, the value strict (56.6%), in strategy to remember to take medications, the value yes prevailed (63.9%); finally, in viral load, the value undetectable prevailed (89.2%). Conclusions: There is a relationship between adherence to antiretroviral treatment and viral load.
