El grado de dificultad quirúrgica y el tiempo de cirugía en terceros molares mandibulares de pacientes atendidos en el Centro Odontológico Privado Ortoesthetic Dental, Lima 2020 – 2023

Abstract

El presente estudio siguió como objetivo determinar la relación entre grado de dificultad quirúrgica y tiempo de cirugía en terceros molares mandibulares de pacientes atendidos en el Centro Odontológico Privado Ortoesthetic Dental, Lima 2020 – 2023. Para tal efecto, se realizó una investigación de enfoque cuantitativo y tipología básica, diseño no experimental – retrospectivo. La población estuvo conformada por 164 pacientes de entre 18 y 40 años de edad, que es la cantidad de pacientes promedio atendidos durante el período 2020-2023 en el centro odontológico, de donde se extrajo una muestra de 151 pacientes seleccionados por intermedio de muestreo probabilístico estratificado, empleándose como técnica de análisis retrospectivo y como instrumento una Ficha de Recolección de Datos que contiene información sobre apreciación clínica. Como resultados se halló que el p-valor entre ambas variables fue de ,000 (p<0.05), de donde se concluye que existe relación significativa entre el grado de dificultad quirúrgica y el tiempo de cirugía en terceros molares mandibulares de pacientes atendidos en el Centro Odontológico Privado Ortoesthetic Dental, Lima 2020 – 2023.

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the degree of surgical difficulty and surgery time in mandibular third molars of patients treated at the Ortoesthetic Dental Private Dental Center, Lima 2020 – 2023. For this purpose, quantitative approach research was carried out and basic typology, non-experimental – retrospective design. The population was made up of 164 patients between 18 and 40 years of age, which is the average number of patients treated during the period 2020-2023 at the dental center, from which a sample of 151 patients selected through stratified probabilistic sampling was extracted, using clinical observation as a technique as an instrument a Clinical Observation File containing information on clinical assessment. As results, it was found that the p-value between both variables was .000 (p<0.05), from which it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the degree of surgical difficulty and surgery time in mandibular third molars of patients treated at the Dental Center.
