Síndrome de burnout y bienestar psicológico en personal de enfermería de un hospital nacional de Lima Metropolitana, 2023

Abstract

En esta investigación se buscó determinar la relación entre síndrome de burnout y bienestar psicológico en el personal de enfermería de un hospital nacional de Lima Metropolitana. Fue un estudio no experimental, cuantitativo, correlacional y de tipo básico, en el que se seleccionó a 224 profesionales de salud, a quienes se les administró el Inventario de Burnout de Maslach y la Escala de Bienestar Psicológico de Ryff y Keyes. Los resultados mostraron una correlación negativa, aunque baja y estadísticamente significativa, entre el síndrome de burnout y el bienestar psicológico (rs = -0.167; p<0.01). En resumen, se determinó que un mayor grado de burnout está asociado con un menor bienestar psicológico en el personal de enfermería.

This research aimed to determine the relationship between burnout syndrome and psychological well-being among nursing staff at a national hospital in Metropolitan Lima. It was a non-experimental, quantitative, correlational, and basic study. A total of 224 healthcare professionals were selected and administered the Maslach Burnout Inventory and the Psychological Well-Being Scale by Ryff and Keyes.

The results showed a negative, albeit low and statistically significant, correlation between burnout syndrome and psychological well-being (rs = -0.167; p < 0.01). In summary, it was determined that a higher degree of burnout is associated with lower psychological well-being among nursing staff.
