Introduction: In the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting, family members of hospitalized patients experience a high emotional burden that can compromise their quality of life and contribute to the development of manifestations related to post-intensive care syndrome, influenced by stress, uncertainty, and the severity of the patient’s condition. Objective: To determine the relationship between quality of life and post-intensive care syndrome in family members of adult patients in a hospital. Methodology: A hypothetical-deductive method study with a quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, and correlational level. Population: The population consists of 150 family members of adult patients hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Lima. The technique used will be the survey. The instruments employed will be the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire, which allows the assessment of quality of life, and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) to measure post-intensive care syndrome in family members. The validity of the WHOQOL-BREF was determined through expert judgment using Aiken’s V coefficient, with values above 0.70. The HADS scale shows evidence of construct validity in previous studies, with correlations ranging from 0.60 to 0.80. The reliability of both instruments was evaluated using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, obtaining adequate values. Data analysis will be conducted using the SPSS statistical program, presenting the results in tables and graphs according to the study dimensions. Finally, Spearman’s correlation test will be used to determine the relationship between the variables
