Conocimiento y prácticas en oxigenoterapia por enfermera(o)s de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales de un hospital público, Huánuco, 2025

Abstract

Introducción: La oxigenoterapia en enfermería consiste en administrar oxígeno para contrarrestar los efectos nocivos y fatales de la hipoxemia; además, el oxígeno no tiene color nisabor, los efectos tóxicos ocurren con altas dosis y su uso extendido; por ello, debe ser proporcionado por períodos breves y con baja concentración, asegurando el bienestar del paciente. Objetivo: determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento y las prácticas en oxigenoterapia por enfermera(o)s de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales de un hospital público de Huánuco en el año 2025. Metodología: Se utilizará el método hipotético deductivo, cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, no experimental, correlacional y transversal; en este estudio participarán 60 enfermeras en las que se realizará un cuestionario y una guía de observación, los cuales han sido previamente validados. Los resultados obtenidos de los instrumentos se procesarán con el programa estadístico SPSS versión 26 y se presentarán en tablas y figuras del programa Excel. Por último, definirá la conexión entre las variables usando la prueba estadística de correlación de Spearman.

Introduction: Oxygen therapy in nursing consists of administering oxygen to counteract the harmful and fatal effects of hypoxemia; Furthermore, oxygen is colorless and tasteless, toxic effects occur at high doses and with prolonged use; therefore, it must be provided for short periods and at low concentrations, ensuring the patient's well-being. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practices in oxygen therapy by nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of a public hospital in Huánuco in 2025. Methodology: The hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, applied, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional method will be used; 60 nurses will participate in this study, to whom a questionnaire and an observation guide will be administered, which have been previously validated. The results obtained from the instruments will be processed with the statistical program SPSS version 26 and will be presented in tables and figures in the Excel program. Finally, you will define the connection between the variables using the Spearman statistical test.
