Hábitos de higiene genital asociados al síndrome de flujo vaginal en mujeres de edad fértil, puesto de salud San Martín de Porres, Pisco, 2025

Abstract

Objetivo General: Determinar si los hábitos de higiene genital están asociados al síndrome de flujo vaginal en mujeres de edad fértil, Puesto de Salud San Martín de Porres, 2025. Metodología: Enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo, correlacional, transversal, no experimental y prospectivo. Se encuestaron un total de 140 mujeres en edad fértil, se usó un cuestionario compuesto por 26 preguntas relacionadas con los hábitos de higiene genital, el síndrome de flujo vaginal y las características sociodemográficas. Resultados: Los hábitos de higiene genital y el síndrome de flujo vaginal, no se encontró evidencia estadística significativa en mujeres de edad fértil con un valor de p > 0.05. Las características sociodemográficas y el síndrome de flujo vaginal, solo la variable nivel educativo alcanzado con un valor de p < 0.05 demostró una relación estadísticamente significativa, mientras que las demás variables (edad, estado civil, ocupación y religión) no presentaron asociación. Hubo una diferencia descriptiva en los porcentajes higiene buena 57%, higiene regular 43% e higiene mala 0% y el estudio concluye que el 44% de las mujeres, tienen síndrome de flujo vaginal Conclusión: No existe evidencia estadísticamente significativa entre los hábitos de higiene genital y el síndrome de flujo vaginal en mujeres de edad fértil, Puesto de Salud San Martín de Porres, Pisco, 2025.

Objective: To determine whether genital hygiene habits are associated with vaginal discharge syndrome in women of childbearing age, San Martín de Porres Health Post, 2025. Methodology: A quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional, non-experimental, and prospective approach was used. A total of 140 women of childbearing age were surveyed using a questionnaire consisting of 26 questions related to genital hygiene habits, vaginal discharge syndrome, and sociodemographic characteristics. Results: No statistically significant association was found in genital hygiene habits and vaginal discharge syndrome in women of childbearing age (p-value > 0.05). Regarding sociodemographic characteristics and vaginal discharge syndrome, only the variable educational level attained, with a p-value < 0.05, demonstrated a statistically significant relationship, while the other variables (age, marital status, occupation, and religion) did not show any association. There was a descriptive difference in the percentages: good hygiene (57%), regular hygiene (43%), and poor hygiene (0%). The study concluded that 44% of women had vaginal discharge syndrome. Conclusion: There is no statistically significant evidence of a relationship between genital hygiene habits and vaginal discharge syndrome in women of childbearing age, San Martín de Porres Health Post, Pisco, 2025.
