Capacidad funcional y su relación con la disnea en pacientes post Covid-19 en la Clínica Cayetano Heredia, Lima- 2022

Abstract

A inicios del año 2020 la organización mundial de la salud declara pandemia mundial a causa del virus COVID-19, este virus es una enfermedad infecciosa que afecta principalmente el sistema respiratorio, hay investigaciones que indican que esta enfermedad deja secuelas como fatiga, disnea y limitación en la capacidad funcional siendo esta un indicador fundamental del estado de salud y del nivel de independencia, por otro lado, la disnea forma parte de uno de los síntomas más frecuentes e incapacitantes afectando directamente la tolerancia al esfuerzo y el desempeño físico. Por lo tanto, la presente investigación busca identificar si existe relación entre la capacidad funcional y disnea en pacientes post Covid-19. Metodología: hipotético-deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental correlacional. Población 120 pacientes post Covid-19.

At the beginning of 2020, the World Health Organization declared a global pandemic due to the COVID-19 virus. This virus is an infectious disease that primarily affects the respiratory system. Research indicates that this disease leaves sequelae such as fatigue, dyspnea, and limitations in functional capacity, which is a fundamental indicator of health status and level of independence. Furthermore, dyspnea is one of the most frequent and debilitating symptoms, directly affecting exercise tolerance and physical performance. Therefore, this research seeks to identify whether there is a relationship between functional capacity and dyspnea in post-COVID-19 patients. Methodology: hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, correlational non-experimental design. Population: 120 post-COVID-19 patients.
