Conocimiento del esquema de vacunación y cumplimiento en madres de niños menores de 1 año en un centro materno infantil de Lima, 2026

Abstract

Las vacunas son consideradas una de las más grandes herramientas de la salud pública para contrarrestar, erradicar y prevenir muchas enfermedades que pueden causar daños en la salud de la población, especialmente en los niños. Sin embargo, un gran porcentaje aún no tiene acceso a ellas y muchas veces el factor predominante es el bajo nivel de conocimiento de parte de los progenitores, por lo que, es necesario enfatizar en la labor educadora de enfermería para que se pueda cumplir con el esquema de vacunación. Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento del esquema y cumplimiento en madres de niños menores de 1 año del Centro Materno Infantil de Lima, 2026. Metodología: Será un estudio básico aplicado, que empleará el método deductivo-hipotético, como empleará el análisis número se convierte en un estudio cuantitativo, no experimental, observacional y de corte transversal. La población estará conformada por madres de niños menores de 1 años que son atendidos en el C.M.I. y que cumplen con los criterios de selección. La técnica utilizada será la encuesta: para la recolección de datos se utilizará 2 instrumentos validados. Para el análisis estadístico se utilizará el programa SPSS versión 26.0 y los hallazgos se presentarán en tablas y gráficos. Se hará uso del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman (Rho) para evaluar la relación entre las variables y validar la hipótesis del estudio determinando si se confirma o rechaza.

Vaccines are regarded as one of the most significant tools in public health for controlling, eradicating, and preventing numerous diseases that may cause harm to the population’s health, particularly among children. However, a substantial proportion of individuals still lack access to immunization services, and in many cases, the predominant factor is parents’ limited level of knowledge. Therefore, it is essential to emphasize the educational role of nursing professionals to ensure compliance with the vaccination schedule. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge regarding the vaccination schedule and compliance among mothers of children under one year of age attending the Maternal and Child Health Center of Lima, 2026. Methodology: This will be an applied basic research study employing the hypothetical–deductive method. Given that numerical analysis will be conducted, the study will adopt a quantitative approach. It will be non-experimental, observational, and cross sectional in design. The population will consist of mothers of children under one year of age who receive care at the Maternal and Child Health Center and meet the established selection criteria. The survey technique will be used, and data will be collected through two validated instruments. Statistical analysis will be performed using SPSS version 26.0. Findings will be presented in tables and graphs. Spearman’s rank-order correlation coefficient (Rho) will be applied to assess the relationship between the variables and to test the study hypothesis, determining whether it is accepted or rejected.
