Conocimiento y práctica en el cuidado del catéter percutáneo del profesional de enfermería de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales de un hospital de Lima, 2025

Abstract

En la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales el uso de catéter percutáneo de inserción periférica, es la opción esencial para los neonatos pretérminos y a términos, puesto que asegura la administración de soluciones de alta concentración y fármacos de larga vida útil. Por tanto, se plantea el objetivo de determinar cuál es la relación entre el conocimiento con la práctica en el cuidado del catéter percutáneo del profesional de enfermería de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales de un hospital de Lima 2025. Se utilizará el método hipotético deductivo, ya que constatará las hipótesis a través de la observación y excluir aquellas que no son acreditadas por los datos, tendrá un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, diseño correlacional, transversal y no experimental. La población será 80 enfermeras y su muestra será censal. Finalmente, se ordenará la información recolectada en una base de datos de Microsoft Excel y ulteriormente al SPSS Versión 29, en la cual se fabricará tablas, gráficos y porcentajes para el análisis de las variables. Finalmente, para diferir las hipótesis propuestas se utilizará el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman.

In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the use of a peripherally inserted percutaneous catheter is the essential option for preterm and full term neonates, as it ensures the administration of highly concentrated solutions and long lasting drugs. Therefore, the objective was to determine the relationship between knowledge and practice in percutaneous catheter care of the nursing professional in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Lima 2025. The hypothetical deductive method will be used, since it will verify the hypotheses through observation and exclude those that are not accredited by the data, it will have a quantitative approach, applied type, correlational, transversal and non-experimental design. The population will be 80 nurses and the sample will be a census. Finally, the information collected will be arranged in a Microsoft Excel database and subsequently to SPSS Version 16, in which tables, graphs and percentages will be made for the analysis of the variables. Finally, correlation coefficient Spearman will be used to test the proposed hypotheses.
