Introducción: El método madre canguro es una de las principales y más importantes técnicas de atención para el recién nacido prematuro estable, contribuye a la termorregulación, así como también a la lactancia materna exclusiva apoyando de esta manera una alimentación eficaz además de fortalecer el vínculo mama- bebe al disminuir considerablemente los días de estancia hospitalaria. Objetivo: Determinar cómo se relacionan los conocimientos acerca del método mamá canguro con la práctica profesional de las enfermeras en la UCIN de un hospital en Huancayo durante el año 2025. Metodología: Se utilizará el método Hipotético-deductivo, cuantitativo, aplicada, no experimental, correlacional y transversal; en esta investigación participaran 70 enfermeras a las cuales se les aplicará un cuestionario y una guía de observación previamente validados. Los resultados que se obtendrán de la resolución de los instrumentos serán procesados a través del programa estadístico SPSS versión 26, se expresarán en tablas y figuras del programa Exel. Finalmente se establecerá como se relacionan las variables a través de la prueba estadística de Rho de Spearman.
Resumen
Introduction: The kangaroo mother method is one of the main and most important techniques of care for the stable preterm newborn, it helps thermoregulation, as well as exclusive breastfeeding thus supporting effective feeding in addition to strengthening the mother-baby bond considerably decreasing the days of hospital stay. Objective: To identify the relationship between knowledge of the kangaroo breastfeeding method and the practice of nurses in the NICU of a hospital in Huancayo in the year 2025.Methodology: The hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, applied, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional method will be used; 70 nurses will participate in this study, to whom a previously validated questionnaire and observation guide will be applied. The results obtained from the resolution of the instruments will be processed through the statistical program SPSS version 26 and will be expressed in tables and figures of the Exel program. Finally, the relationship between the variables will be established through Spearman's Rho statistical test.
