Factores asociados al rechazo del uso de la vacuna antineumocócica por padres que acuden al Centro de Salud de Chupa, Puno 2023

Abstract

El trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo, identificar los factores asociados al rechazo del uso de la vacuna antineumocócica por padres que acuden al Centro de Salud de Chupa. el método empleado fue deductivo con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica con diseño no experimental de corte transversal y de nivel descriptivo; la técnica empleada fue la encuesta y el instrumento fue un cuestionario de 22 preguntas; el tamaño de muestra de 355 padres de familia. Resultados; se identificó las características sociodemográficas, donde 33,0% de los padres tuvieron entre 18 a 29 años, 59,4% fueron de género femenino, 77,2% eran quechuas hablantes, 51,5% convivientes, 51% tuvieron trabajo independiente y 40,8% tuvieron secundaria completa; igualmente el 36,9% estuvieron de acuerdo que los mitos causan indecisión o rechazo para la aplicación de la vacuna; de igual manera el 38,3% estuvieron totalmente de acuerdo con que es verdad que la vacuna antineumocócica trae beneficios a la salud de las personas, así mismo el 39,2% estuvieron totalmente de acuerdo con aceptar vacunar a su niño sin previa evaluación de un profesional, por último, el 36,9% estuvieron totalmente de acuerdo con que las vacunas antineumocócicas son eficaces. Conclusiones; se identificar los factores asociados al rechazo del uso de la vacuna antineumocócica siendo los más relevantes el tener 18 a 29 años de edad, pertenecer al grupo étnico quechua, poseer la condición de conviviente, tener grado de instrucción secundaria, los mitos, desconfianza de la vacuna y la efectividad de la vacuna.

The objective of this research work was to identify the factors associated with the refusal of the use of the pneumococcal vaccine by parents who attend the Chupa Health Center. The method used was deductive with a quantitative approach, of a basic type with a non-experimental design of cross sectional and descriptive level; The technique used was the survey and the instrument was a questionnaire of 22 questions; Sample size of 355 parents. Results; Sociodemographic characteristics were identified, where 33.0% of the parents were between 18 and 29 years old, 59.4% were female, 77.2% were Quechua speakers, 51.5% lived together, 51% had independent work and 40.8% had completed secondary school; Likewise, 36.9% agreed that myths cause hesitancy or rejection of the application of the vaccine; Similarly, 38.3% totally agreed that it is true that the pneumococcal vaccine brings benefits to people's health, likewise 39.2% totally agreed with agreeing to vaccinate their child without prior evaluation by a professional, finally, 36.9% totally agreed that pneumococcal vaccines are effective. Conclusions; The factors associated with the rejection of the use of the pneumococcal vaccine were identified, the most relevant being 18 to 29 years of age, belonging to the Quechua ethnic group, having the status of cohabitant, having a high school education, myths, distrust of the vaccine and effectiveness of the vaccine.
