Efecto del concepto Meitland en la funcionalidad de hombro en pacientes diagnosticados con síndrome del manguito rotador, en un hospital de Lima, 2025

Abstract

La articulación del hombro tiende a ser inestable y de gran movilidad, necesaria para realizar alcances y movimientos en sus tres planos y ejes, por lo cual es más propensa a las lesiones del manguito rotador, afectando su funcionalidad. Con la utilización del concepto Maitland se evidencia una mejoría en la funcionalidad, disminución del dolor y la amplitud del movimiento del hombro en pacientes diagnosticados con síndrome del manguito rotador. Objetivo determinar los resultados concepto Maitland sobre la funcionalidad del hombro en pacientes diagnosticados con síndrome de manguito rotador en un hospital de lima norte 2025. Este estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, método hipotético - deductivo, de diseño pre-experimental. con una muestra de 67 participantes (con un solo grupo pre experimental), en el cual se aplicará el test Constant-Murley.

The shoulder joint tends to be unstable and highly mobile, necessary for reaching and movements in its three planes and axes, making it more prone to rotator cuff injuries, affecting its functionality. With the use of the Maitland concept, an improvement in functionality, a decrease in pain, and an increase in shoulder range of motion are evident in patients diagnosed with rotator cuff syndrome. The objective is to determine the results of the Maitland concept on shoulder functionality in patients diagnosed with rotator cuff syndrome in a hospital in northern Lima in 2025. This study has a quantitative approach, a hypothetical-deductive method, and a pre-experimental design. A sample of 67 participants (with a single pre-experimental group) will be administered the Constant-Murley test.
