Fuerza muscular periférica y la capacidad respiratoria en adultos en un hospital militar, Surco 2025

Abstract

Este estudio tiene como objetivo identificar la relación entre la fuerza muscular periférica y la capacidad respiratoria en pacientes atendidos en un hospital militar de Lima en el año 2025. Se analizó cómo la función muscular en extremidades influye en la eficiencia respiratoria, un factor crucial para el diagnóstico y tratamiento de diversas condiciones de salud. La investigación incluyó a un grupo de pacientes con diferentes patologías, utilizando herramientas como la medición de la fuerza muscular en los miembros superiores y valoración de la capacidad pulmonar mediante flujometria. A través de instrumentos como el dinamómetro y flujometria se medirá parámetros como flujo espiratorio pico permitiendo identificar el desempeño y posibles limitaciones fisiológica. Este estudio contribuye al entendimiento de los factores que afectan la función respiratoria y sugiere la necesidad de programas de rehabilitación que incluyan ejercicios de fortalecimiento muscular para mejorar la capacidad respiratoria y, por ende, la calidad de vida de los pacientes.

This study aims to identify the relationship between peripheral muscle strength and respiratory capacity in patients treated at a military hospital in Lima in 2025. It analyzed how muscle function in the extremities influences respiratory efficiency, a crucial factor for the diagnosis and treatment of various health conditions. The research included a group of patients with different pathologies, using tools such as the measurement of muscle strength in the upper limbs and the assessment of lung capacity using peak flow meter (PFM). Through instruments such as the dynamometer and PFM, parameters such as peak expiratory flow will be measured, allowing for the identification of performance and possible physiological limitations. This study contributes to the understanding of the factors that affect respiratory function and suggests the need for rehabilitation programs that include muscle strengthening exercises to improve respiratory capacity and, therefore, the quality of life of patients.
