Sobrecarga laboral y bienestar psicológico del profesional de enfermería del servicio de salud mental de un hospital de Lima, 2025

Abstract

Introducción: Para comprender cómo mitigar la sobrecarga laboral y fomentar el bienestar psicológico en el ámbito de la enfermería de salud mental, es esencial reconocer los desafíos específicos de esta especialidad. El trabajo del personal de enfermería en este sector es profundamente demandante a nivel emocional y operativo, ya que requiere el manejo e interacción continua con individuos que padecen trastornos psiquiátricos complejos. Esta exigencia inherente es un factor predominante que contribuye a la manifestación de estrés sostenido y agotamiento entre los profesionales. El objetivo de este estudio es “Determinar la relación entre sobrecarga laboral y el bienestar psicológico del profesional de enfermería del servicio de salud mental en un hospital de Lima,2025”. Metodología: La presente investigación se enmarca en un enfoque cuantitativo y adoptará el método hipotético deductivo. Por su naturaleza, Este proyecto es una investigación aplicada que utiliza un diseño no experimental. Su nivel de alcance se define como descriptivo-correlacional. La población analizada se compone de 48 profesionales de enfermería que trabajan actualmente en el servicio de salud mental. Para la recolección de datos, se empleará la técnica del cuestionario. Se administrarán dos instrumentos específicos: uno destinado a medir el constructo de sobrecarga laboral y un segundo instrumento enfocado en evaluar el bienestar psicológico del personal. En cuanto al análisis de los datos, la información recopilada se procesará mediante el software Microsoft Excel y SPSS (versión 26). Posteriormente, Los datos recopilados serán analizados mediante estadísticas descriptivas e inferenciales. Concretamente, se aplicará el coeficiente de correlación Rho de Spearman para establecer la intensidad y el sentido (dirección) del vínculo existente entre las variables consideradas en la investigación.

Introduction: To understand how to mitigate work overload and promote psychological well being in mental health nursing, it is essential to recognize the specific challenges of this specialty. The work of nursing staff in this sector is deeply demanding at both emotional and operational levels, as it requires the continuous management and interaction with individuals suffering from complex psychiatric disorders. This inherent demand is a predominant factor contributing to the manifestation of sustained stress and burnout among professionals. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between work overload and the psychological well-being of nursing professionals in the mental health service at a hospital in Lima, 2025. Methodology: This research is framed within a quantitative approach and will adopt the hypothetical-deductive method. By its nature, this project is an applied research project that uses a non-experimental design. Its level of scope is defined as descriptive correlational. The population analyzed is composed of 48 nursing professionals currently working in the mental health service. A questionnaire technique will be used for data collection. Two specific instruments will be administered: one designed to measure the construct of work overload and a second instrument focused on assessing staff psychological well-being. Regarding data analysis, the collected information will be processed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS (version 26). The collected data will then be analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Specifically, Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient will be applied to establish the strength and direction of the relationship between the variables considered in the research.
