Factores determinantes relacionados a la estancia prolongada en pacientes del área de emergencias Hospital Maria Auxiliadora, 2024

Abstract

La estancia hospitalaria prolongada (EHP) es un problema de eficiencia de los servicios sanitarios originado por diferentes componentes; esto motivó a realizar el estudio que tendrá por objetivo: Determinar los factores determinantes relacionados con la estancia prolongada en pacientes del área de emergencias del Hospital María Auxiliadora, Lima, 2024. Metodología: Será una investigación de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, nivel descriptivo correlacional, diseño no experimental y corte transversal. La población serán 548 pacientes hospitalizados en emergencia durante los meses de julio a octubre del 2024. Técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de datos: Se utilizará una ficha de registro (historias clínicas). Procedimientos. Los datos se recolectarán en el área de emergencia del Hospital María Auxiliadora. Recolectada la información, se ingresarán al paquete estadístico SPSS V. 29. Análisis estadístico: Una vez ingresados los resultados, se verificará la autenticidad de la información y la tabulación, tanto simple como cruzada; los hallazgos obtenidos permitirán elaborar las tablas simples y dobles, así como gráficas con cifras absolutas y relativas. Además, para determinar la relación significativa entre las variables, lo que se realizara a través de la prueba del Chí cuadrado por ser constructos de escala ordinal.

The population will be 548 patients hospitalized in emergency during the months of July to October 2024. Data collection techniques and instruments: A registration form (medical records) will be used. Procedures. Data will be collected in the emergency area of the María Auxiliadora Hospital. Once the information is collected, it will be entered into the SPSS V. 29 statistical package. Statistical analysis: Once the results are entered, the authenticity of the information and the tabulation, both simple and cross, will be verified; The findings obtained will allow for the preparation of simple and double tables, as well as graphs with absolute and relative figures. Furthermore, the Chi-square test will be used to determine the significant relationship between the variables, as these are ordinal scale constructs.
