Prevalencia de fluorosis dental en niños de 6 a 12 años del colegio Daniel Alcides Carrión, Puente Piedra – Lima 2023

Abstract

Este trabajo tuvo como propósito determinar la prevalencia de fluorosis dental en niños de 6-12 años del colegio Daniel Alcides Carrión, Puente Piedra – Lima 2023. La metodología fue no experimental, cuantitativa y transversal, evaluando a 152 niños del colegio Daniel Alcides Carrión, Puente Piedra utilizando el índice de Dean para establecer el grado de fluorosis. Los resultados revelaron que este estudio 140 niños no presenta fluorosis representando el 92.1% del total; y 12 niños presenta fluorosis representando el 7.9% del total; y respecto al grado de fluorosis 3 niños presentan fluorosis grado cuestionable; 7 niños presentan fluorosis grado muy leve representan el 4.6% y 2 niños presenta fluorosis grado leve representando el 1.3% del total, así mismo; 86 niños son del sexo femenino y 80 de ellos no presenta fluorosis representando el 52.6% del total y 6 presentan fluorosis representando el 3.9% del total frente a los 66 niños de sexo masculino de los cuales 60 no presentan fluorosis representando el 39.5% del total y 6 presentan fluorosis representando el 3.9% del total finalmente 41 niños tienen 12 años y 39 de ellos no presenta fluorosis representando el 25.7% del total y 2 presentan fluorosis representando el 1.3% del total. Concluyeron que los resultados de esta investigación evidencian que la prevalencia de fluorosis dental en niños de 6-12 años del colegio Daniel Alcides Carrión, Puente Piedra – Lima 2023 es del 7.9% del total.

The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of dental fluorosis in children aged 6-12 years at the Daniel Alcides Carrión school, Puente Piedra - Lima 2023. The methodology was non-experimental, quantitative and cross-sectional, evaluating 152 children from the Daniel Alcides Carrión school, Puente Piedra, using Dean's index to establish the degree of fluorosis. The results revealed that this study 140 children do not present fluorosis representing 92.1% of the total; and 12 children present fluorosis representing 7.9% of the total; and regarding the degree of fluorosis 3 children present questionable degree fluorosis; 7 children present very mild degree fluorosis representing 4.6% and 2 children present mild degree fluorosis representing 1.3% of the total, likewise; 86 children are female and 80 of them do not present fluorosis representing 52.6% of the total and 6 present fluorosis representing 3.9% of the total compared to 66 male children of which 60 do not present fluorosis representing 39.5% of the total and 6 present fluorosis representing 3.9% of the total finally 41 children are 12 years old and 39 of them do not present fluorosis representing 25.7% of the total and 2 present fluorosis representing 1.3% of the total. They concluded that the results of this research show that the prevalence of dental fluorosis in children aged 6-12 at the Daniel Alcides Carrión school, Puente Piedra – Lima 2023 is 7.9% of the total.
