Introducción: La Problemática de la enfermedad del cáncer a nivel mundial y nacional radica en su alta complejidad, su incidencia, sus causas y necesidad de detección y tratamiento temprano; El abordaje efectivo además del equipo de salud multidisciplinario requiere de los cuidadores de pacientes con cáncer que a su vez enfrenta una problemática de alto desgaste físico, emocional, y social. El objetivo del estudio es “determinar la relación entre la sobrecarga y la estrategia de afrontamiento en cuidadores de pacientes con cáncer de la Unidad Funcional Oncológica del Hospital Regional”. La Metodología por emplear será el método hipotético, de corte transversal, con un enfoque cuantitativo correlacional. La población estará consolidada por cuidadores de pacientes con cáncer que acuden a la Unidad Funcional oncológica del Hospital regional de Ayacucho, 2026 y muestra utilizada es no probabilística. Se emplearán como instrumentos la encuesta de carga de Zarit (EZR) y el inventario de estrategias de afrontamiento (CSI) creado por Tobin, estos instrumentos cuentan con evidencia de validez y confiabilidad reportada en estudios previos; Los datos recopilados se analizarán mediante el software estadístico SPSS 26 y se emplearán el coeficiente de correlación Spearman para las variables.
Resumen
Introduction: The problem of cancer worldwide and nationally lies in its high complexity, incidence, causes, and the need for early detection and treatment. Effective management, in addition to a multidisciplinary healthcare team, requires the support of caregivers of cancer patients, who in turn face significant physical, emotional, and social strain. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between caregiver burden and coping strategies among caregivers of cancer patients at the Oncology Functional Unit of the Regional Hospital. The methodology employed will be a cross-sectional, hypotheticalreferenced, quantitative correlational approach. The study population will consist of caregivers of cancer patients attending the Oncology Functional Unit of the Ayacucho Regional Hospital in 2026, and the sample used will be non-probabilistic. The instruments used will be the Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI) and the Coping Strategies Inventory (CSI) developed by Tobin. These instruments have evidence of validity and reliability reported in previous studies. The collected data will be analyzed using SPSS 26 statistical software and Spearman's correlation coefficient will be used for the variables.
