Nivel de conocimiento sobre sífilis en adolescentes de 5to año de secundaria de dos instituciones educativas Chimbote – 2025

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la diferencia en el nivel de conocimiento sobre sífilis entre los adolescentes de 5to año de secundaria de dos instituciones educativas de Chimbote, en el año 2025. Metodología: el método fue hipotético deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básica y comparativo. La población fue de 180 estudiantes de dos colegios, la muestra fue de 62 para el colegio A y 62 para el colegio B. Como técnica se utilizó la encuesta y el instrumento fue el cuestionario. Resultados: Los estudiantes del Colegio B evidencian un mayor conocimiento sobre la sífilis en comparación con el Colegio A. En el Colegio A predomina el nivel bajo, especialmente en los aspectos generales (59,7%) y formas de transmisión (43,5%). En cambio, en el Colegio B destacan los niveles medio y alto en todas las dimensiones evaluadas, con mejor desempeño en prevención (56,5% nivel medio) y transmisión (37,1% nivel alto). Conclusión: Existe una diferencia significativa en el nivel de conocimiento sobre sífilis entre los adolescentes de 5to año de secundaria de las dos instituciones educativas de Chimbote, en el año 2025.

Objective: To determine the difference in the level of knowledge about syphilis among 5th year secondary school adolescents from two educational institutions in Chimbote, in the year 2025. Methodology: The method was hypothetical deductive, quantitative approach, basic and comparative type. The population was 180 students from two schools, the sample was 62 for School A and 62 for School B. The technique used was the survey and the instrument was the questionnaire. Results: Students from School B show greater knowledge about syphilis compared to School A. In School A, the low level predominates, especially in general aspects (59.7%) and modes of transmission (43.5%). In contrast, in School B, the medium and high levels stand out in all the dimensions evaluated, with better performance in prevention (56.5% medium level) and transmission (37.1% high level). Conclusion: There is a significant difference in the level of knowledge about syphilis among adolescents in the fifth year of secondary school at the two educational institutions in Chimbote, in the year 2025.
