Actividad analgésica del extracto etanólico de la raíz Vallea stipularis L.F. "Chuillur" en ratones

Abstract

The investigation was carried out on the plant species Vallea stipularis L.f. “Chuillur,” located in the district of Tamburco-Abancay-Apurímac, traditionally used by the local population as medicine for the treatment of scurvy, as a cicatrizant, for gastritis, rheumatism, drastic purgative, and analgesic. Objective: To verify the analgesic activity of the ethanolic extract of the root of Vallea stipularis L.f. “Chuillur” in mice. Methods: The method of abdominal writhing induced by 0.8% acetic acid was employed. Forty-nine albino mice of the species Mus musculus strain Balb/C53/CNPB, of both sexes, were randomly distributed into seven groups. Ethanolic extracts at doses of 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg were used, as well as the standards Paracetamol Q.P. 300 mg/kg and Tramadol Hydrochloride Q.P. 40 mg/kg. These were administered orally, and 30 minutes later, 0.8% acetic acid was administered intraperitoneally. The animals were immediately observed for 20 minutes. Results: All groups showed a significant reduction (p value = 0.000), obtaining differentiated analgesic effects. The maximum effect was achieved with the 200 mg/kg extract, with 70% inhibition, surpassing Paracetamol (55%). Conclusions: It is concluded that the ethanolic extract of the root of the plant species Vallea stipularis L.f. “Chuillur” has analgesic effect.

Se realizó la investigación de la especie vegetal Vallea stipularis L.f. “Chuillur”, ubicada en el distrito de Tamburco-Abancay-Apurímac, utilizada por los pobladores como medicina tradicional para el tratamiento de escorbuto, cicatrizante, gastritis, reumatismo, purgante drástico y analgésico. Objetivo: Comprobar la actividad analgésica del extracto etanólico de la raíz Vallea stipularis L.f. “Chuillur” en ratones. Métodos: Se empleó el método de contorsiones abdominales inducidas por ácido acético 0,8 %, se distribuyeron 49 ratones albinos de la especie Mus musculus cepa Balb/C53/CNPB de ambos sexos, distribuidos al azar en 7 grupos, se usó extractos etanólicos a dosis de 50, 100 y 200 mg/kg, y los estándares (Paracetamol Q.P. 300 mg/kg y el Clorhidrato de Tramadol Q.P. 40 mg/kg); administrados por vía oral, 30 minutos después se administró por vía intraperitoneal el ácido acético 0,8 %, inmediatamente fueron observados por 20 minutos. Resultados: Todos los grupos lograron disminuir significativamente (p valor=0,000), obteniendo efectos analgésicos diferenciados, el efecto máximo se alcanzó con el extracto de 200 mg/kg con un 70 % de inhibición, superando al Paracetamol (55 %). Conclusiones: Se concluye que el extracto etanólico de la especie vegetal de la raíz de Vallea stipularis L.f. “Chuillur”, tiene efecto analgésico.
