Nivel de actitud, conducta y autovaloración sobre salud oral mediante el test HU DBI en la Compañía de Bomberos Magdalena 2024

Abstract

El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la actitud, conducta y autovaloración sobre salud oral mediante la prueba HU-DBI en la Compañía de Bomberos Magdalena 2024. La metodología consistió en un enfoque cuantitativo, transversal y básico. Considerando a los bomberos que se encontraban en actividad y que quisieron participar voluntariamente. Se utilizó la versión original del cuestionario HU- DBI con traducción del idioma al castellano realizada por los autores Jaramillo y colabores con 19 peguntas para ser calificada como de acuerdo y desacuerdo., con valor de 1 punto por cada pregunta con sus dimensiones actitud, comportamiento y autovaloración. Se efectuó una revalidación del instrumento sobre su validez de contenido, considerando la colaboración de 03 docentes del área. El instrumento para demostrar su confiablidad fue sometido a la prueba de Kuder Richardson dando un valor de 0,828. Para el análisis inferencial se usó el coeficiente de Rho de Spearman. Los resultados indicaron un predominio regular sobre la actitud, conducta y autovaloración sobre salud oral, con 88.1 %, 73,4%, y 74.3%. A su vez no se halló una relación significativa entre la actitud, conducta y autovaloración con el género y la edad. mediante la prueba HU-DBI en la Compañía de Bomberos Magdalena 2024.

The objective of this study was to determine attitudes, behaviors, and self-assessment regarding oral health using the HU-DBI test at the Magdalena 2024 Fire Company. The methodology consisted of a quantitative, cross-sectional, and basic approach. Active firefighters who voluntarily participated were considered. The original version of the HU-DBI questionnaire was used, translated from Spanish by Jaramillo et al., with 19 questions to be graded as agreement or disagreement, with a value of 1 point for each question, each with its dimensions of attitude, behavior, and self-assessment. The instrument was revalidated for its content validity, considering the collaboration of three teachers in the area. To demonstrate its reliability, the instrument was subjected to the Kuder Richardson test, giving a value of 0.828. Spearman's Rho coefficient was used for inferential analysis. The results indicated a consistent predominance of attitudes, behaviors, and self-assessment regarding oral health, with 88.1%, 73.4%, and 74.3%. At the same time, no significant relationship was found between attitudes, behaviors, and self-assessment and gender and age. The HU-DBI test was used in the Magdalena 2024 Fire Company.
