Seguimiento de anemia ferropénica en el tratamiento con suplemento de hierro en madres de niños menores de 5 años, en el distrito de Ahuac – Chupaca, Huancayo – 2022

Abstract

The general objective of the research is to determine the relationship between iron supplement treatment and the follow-up of iron deficiency anemia in children under 5 years old in the district of Ahuac - Chupaca, Huancayo - 2022. Methodology: The research was inductive, with a quantitative approach, basic type, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational. The sample consisted of 90 children under 5 years old, with mothers as informants who are knowledgeable about their children's health. A Likert scale questionnaire was used. The data were tabulated in an Excel spreadsheet and statistically processed using SPSS version 25. Results: There is no significant relationship between the prescribed supplement and the follow-up of iron deficiency anemia. A weak, statistically significant, and positive relationship was found between treatment adherence and anemia follow-up, and a weak, statistically significant, and negative relationship was found between treatment side effects and anemia follow-up. Conclusion: Children under 5 years old with iron deficiency anemia do not adhere to iron supplement treatment as prescribed by their mothers. |

La investigación tiene como objetivo general determinar la relación entre el tratamiento con suplemento de hierro y el seguimiento de anemia ferropénica en niños menores de 5 años, en el distrito Ahuac - Chupaca, Huancayo - 2022. En cuanto a la metodología, de la investigación fue inductiva, de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básica, no experimental, transversal y correlacional. Se contó con una muestra de 90 niños menores de 5 años, teniendo como informantes a las madres quienes conocen sobre la situación de salud de sus hijos, para lo cual se usó un cuestionario de Likert. El informe fue tabulado en una hoja de cálculos en Excel y ser procesada estadísticamente SPSS versión 25. Resultados: No existe relación significativa entre el suplemento recetado y el seguimiento de anemia ferropénica, existe una relación estadísticamente significativa y positiva débil entre el cumplimiento del tratamiento y el seguimiento de la anemia ferropénica, existe una relación estadísticamente significativa y negativa débil entre los efectos del tratamiento y el seguimiento de anemia ferropénica. En conclusión, los niños menores de 5 años que presentan anemia ferropénica no siguen el tratamiento con suplemento de hierro por parte de sus madres
