Capacidad funcional en adultos mayores post Covid-19 atendidos en un centro de salud nacional. Huaral-2024

Abstract

El Objetivo general del presente estudio fue determinar la capacidad funcional en adultos mayores post COVID-19 atendidos en un centro de salud nacional. Huaral-2024. El enfoque de investigación fue deductivo, cuantitativo, de tipo aplicado, no experimental y con un sub diseño descriptivo simple y retrospectivo. Con una población conformada por 150 adultos mayores. La muestra fue constituida por 63 adultos mayores. Utilizándose un muestreo por conveniencia no probabilístico basándose en los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Para valorar la capacidad funcional se utilizó como instrumento el índice de Barthel. Los resultados evidenciaron que la edad más predominante de los adultos mayores post COVID-19 es la edad avanzada 60-74 años con un 69,8 %, hay una mayor prevalencia del género femenino con un 66,7 %. Es relevante destacar que en cuanto a la capacidad funcional determine que hubo una alta prevalencia de Dependencia Severa con un 76,2 % y Dependencia Moderada con un 23,8 %. En conclusiones determine que hubo una alta prevalencia de Dependencia Severa con un 76,2 %.

The general objective of the present study was to determine the functional capacity in post COVID-19 older adults attended in a national health center. Huaral-2024". The research approach was deductive, quantitative, applied, non-experimental and with a simple descriptive and retrospective sub design. The population consisted of 150 older adults. The results showed that the most predominant age of the older adults post COVID-19 is the advanced age 60-74 years with 69.8 %, there is a higher prevalence of the female gender with 66.7 %. It is relevant to highlight that in terms of functional capacity, there was a high prevalence of Severe Dependence with 76.2% and Moderate Dependence with 23.8%. In conclusions, it was determined that there was a high prevalence of Severe Dependence with 76.2 %.
