| es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | This research aimed to determine differences in behavior under compressive and flexural loads between Triplex dental resin and high-impact resin after undergoing *in vitro* artificial aging. The study employed an applied, experimental design using a quantitative, hypothetico-deductive approach. The sample consisted of 40 specimens (bars and cylinders) distributed into four groups based on resin type and evaluation stage (before and after aging). Data were obtained through mechanical compression and flexural testing using a universal testing machine, in accordance with ISO standards. Statistical analysis included descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and Student's t-tests for comparing means. The results showed that Triplex resin exhibited higher compressive and flexural strength values—both before and after artificial aging—compared to high-impact resin. Additionally, a decline in mechanical properties was observed in both materials following aging; this reduction was more pronounced in the high-impact resin, particularly regarding flexural strength. Inferential tests confirmed statistically significant differences between the groups (p < 0.05). It is concluded that Triplex resin demonstrates superior overall mechanical performance and greater stability against artificial aging compared to high-impact resin, suggesting greater reliability for long-term clinical applications. | en_US |
