Tipo de conducta sexual de riesgo asociado a sífilis en pacientes VIH positivo en el Centro Materno Infantil Los Sureños, durante el periodo 2021-2023, Lima-Perú

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar el tipo de conducta sexual de riesgo asociada a la sífilis en pacientes VIH positivo en el Centro Materno Infantil los Sureños, durante el periodo 2021-2023. Metodología: Se realizó un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo observacional y de corte transversal. Se utilizó datos de historias clínicas que fueron plasmadas en una ficha de recolección de datos, donde la muestra fue de 202 pacientes con diagnóstico de VIH/SIDA para el análisis. Resultados: Se identificó que la sífilis estuvo presente en el 42,47 % de los casos; dentro del tipo de conducta sexual de riesgo asociada a la sífilis fue tener parejas casuales (p=0.001), orientación sexual de tipo homosexual (p<0.001), tener sexo anal con una pareja de su mismo género (p<0.001); el tener relaciones sexuales en los últimos 12 meses (p=0.030), sin preservativo (p<0.001) y con parejas ocasionales (p=0.030). Además se identificó como factor protector para sífilis el tener una pareja estable (RP=0.53; IC95%: 0.34-0.82). Conclusiones: Se concluyó que el tener orientación homosexual, tener sexo anal con parejas de su mismo género y tener relaciones sexuales dentro de los últimos 12 meses sin preservativo y con parejas ocasionales, estuvieron asociadas a tener sífilis; mientras que, el tener una pareja estable actuó como un factor protector para sífilis.

Objective: Determine the type of risky sexual behavior associated with syphilis in HIV positive patients at the Los Sureños Maternal and Child Center, during the period 2021- 2023. Methodology: A quantitative, observational and cross-sectional study was carried out. Data from medical records that were recorded in a data collection form were used, where the sample was 202 patients with a diagnosis of HIV/AIDS for the analysis. Results: It was identified that syphilis was present in 42.47% of the cases; Within the type of risky sexual behavior associated with syphilis was having casual partners (p=0.001), homosexual sexual orientation (p<0.001), having anal sex with a partner of the same gender (p<0.001); having sexual relations in the last 12 months (p=0.030), without a condom (p<0.001) and with occasional partners (p=0.030). Additionally, having a stable partner was identified as a protective factor for syphilis (PR=0.53; 95% CI: 0.34-0.82). Conclusions: It was concluded that having a homosexual orientation, having anal sex with partners of the same gender, and having sexual relations within the last 12 months without a condom and with casual partners, were associated with having syphilis; while, having a stable partner acted as a protective factor for syphilis.
