| es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this study was to compare the bond strength and marginal adaptation of direct and indirect veneers subjected to in vitro thermocycling (2025). The study design was experimental, longitudinal, and explanatory. The sample consisted of 40 veneers distributed into two groups: Group A (20 direct veneers) and Group B (20 indirect veneers). Both groups underwent a thermocycling protocol of 10,000 cycles, simulating 12 months of clinical service. Marginal adaptation was evaluated before and after thermal aging, and bond strength was assessed after thermocycling. Statistical analysis involved the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and Student's t-test, with a significance level of p<0.05. Results showed mean bond strengths of 17.261 for direct veneers and 14.012 for indirect veneers (p=0.088), while final marginal adaptation showed no significant differences between the groups (p=0.140). Likewise, no significant differences in marginal adaptation were found before and after thermocycling for either type of veneer (direct veneers: p=0.283; indirect veneers: p=0.325). It was concluded that there are no significant differences in bond strength between direct and indirect veneers; furthermore, there are no significant differences in marginal adaptation between direct and indirect veneers, nor before and after thermocycling. | en_US |
