Riesgo del apnea obstructiva del sueño y ansiedad en el personal de enfermería del Hospital de Apoyo de Pichanaki – 2025

Abstract

Introducción: Se caracteriza por interrupciones repetidas de la respiración durante el dormir, debido al cierre parcial o total de las vías respiratorias superiores. Estas pausas provocan una caída en los niveles de oxígeno en la sangre. Se calcula que aproximadamente 1,000 millones de personas a nivel mundial están afectadas por este trastorno. Objetivo: determinar el riesgo del apnea obstructiva del sueño y la ansiedad en el personal de enfermería del Hospital de Apoyo de Pichanaki – 2025. Material y métodos: Tipo de investigación aplicada; método hipotético - deductivo y transversal; enfoque cuantitativo; la población estuvo compuesta por 70 enfermeros. Resultados: El grupo etario de 20 a 30 años representó el 74,3% (n = 26) de la muestra y estuvo conformado predominantemente por el sexo masculino, en comparación con el sexo femenino (n = 44). El coeficiente de correlación entre el riesgo de apnea obstructiva del sueño y la ansiedad fue r = 0,633, evidenciando una relación positiva de magnitud moderada. Asimismo, el resultado fue estadísticamente significativo (p = 0,00). Los análisis de correlación entre las dimensiones de la primera variable y la segunda variable también resultaron estadísticamente significativos. Se concluye que existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre el riesgo del apnea obstructiva del sueño y la ansiedad en el personal de enfermería del Hospital de Apoyo de Pichanaki, durante el año 2025.

Introduction: It is characterized by repeated interruptions in breathing during sleep, due to partial or total closure of the upper airways. These pauses cause a drop in blood oxygen levels. It is estimated that approximately 1,000 million people worldwide are affected by this disorder. Objective: To determine the risk of obstructive sleep apnea and anxiety in the nursing staff of the Pichanaki Support Hospital - 2025. Materials and methods: Type of applied research; hypothetical-deductive and cross-sectional method; quantitative approach; the population consisted of 70 nurses. results The age group of 20 to 30 years represented 74.3% (n=26) and was predominantly male, compared to females (n=44). The correlation coefficient was r=0.633 between the risk of obstructive sleep apnea and anxiety. However, the result was statistically significant (p=0.00). The correlation analyses between the dimensions of the first and second variables were also statistically significant. It is concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between the risk of obstructive sleep apnea and anxiety among the nursing staff at Pichanaki Support Hospital, 2025.
