Cultura de seguridad del paciente y autopercepción de prevención de eventos adversos de los enfermeros de un hospital de emergencias, 2023

Abstract

El presente estudio titulado “Cultura de seguridad del paciente y la autopercepción de la prevención de eventos adversos en los enfermeros en un hospital de emergencias, 2023” tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre la cultura de seguridad del paciente y la autopercepción de la prevención de eventos adversos en los enfermeros de un hospital de emergencias. La metodología que se emplea se sustenta en el método hipotético – deductivo, es de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo correlacional, de corte transversal, la muestra fue conformada por 79 licenciados de enfermería, la técnica seleccionada fue la encuesta, para la variable seguridad del paciente se utilizó un instrumento basado en el cuestionario ya estructurado: Seguridad de los pacientes del Hospital Surveyon Patient Safety y para la variable autopercepción de prevención de eventos adversos se empleó un instrumento estructurado diseñado por Chávez; para determinar la relación entre las variables de estudio se empleó la prueba no paramétrica de Rho Spearman. Los resultados obtenidos determinaron que la relación entre las variables principales es significativa y positiva con Rho de Spearman igual a 0,489 y un p igual a 0,000. Concluyéndose que existe relación entre la cultura de seguridad del paciente y la autopercepción de prevención de eventos adversos de los enfermeros de un hospital de emergencias.

The present study entitled "Patient safety culture and self-perception of adverse event prevention in nurses in an emergency hospital, 2023" aims to determine the relationship between patient safety culture and self-perception of adverse event prevention in nurses in an emergency hospital. The methodology used in this study is supported by the hypothetical-deductive method, it is of quantitative approach, correlational type, nonexperimental cross-sectional method, the sample consisted of 79 nursing graduates, the selected technique was the survey and the instrument applied was the questionnaire, for the patient safety variable an instrument based on the already structured questionnaire was used: Hospital Surveyon Patient Safety and for the variable self-perception of adverse event prevention a structured instrument designed by Chavez was used; to determine the relationship between the study variables the nonparametric Rho Spearman test was used. The results obtained determined that the relationship between the main variables is significant and positive with Spearman's Rho equal to 0.489 and a p equal to 0.000 . It was concluded that there is a relationship between the patient safety culture and the selfperception of adverse event prevention of nurses in an emergency hospital.
