Causas y frecuencia de rechazo de muestras bioquímicas en pacientes del Laboratorio Clínico Ocupacional Natclar - Lima 2025

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo exponer las causas y frecuencia de rechazo en muestras de bioquímica, para pacientes del laboratorio clínico ocupacional de la clínica Natclar. Método: Estudio de método descriptivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica, de diseño no experimental, descriptivo y retrospectivo, transversal; al analizar datos en un período definido. La población total está conformada de 2480 pacientes de los cuales 1736 son hombres y 744 mujeres, teniendo una muestra 340 pacientes rechazados. El instrumento fue una ficha de recolección de datos. Resultados: se identificó que 75 individuos fueron descartados por consumo de medicamento: 33.33% utilizaron metformina, 20% antibióticos, 9.33% aines, 26.67% estatinas y 10.67% corticoides, siendo la metformina el fármaco predominante. Respecto a la enfermedad, 55 pacientes fueron rechazados: 18.18% presentaron diabetes, 14.55% gastritis, 10.91% hipertensión, 27.27% hígado graso, 7.27% hiperlipemia severa y 21.82% lipemia, predominando hígado graso. Así mismo, las principales causas de rechazo fueron, 35.29 % por causa de ayuno, 22.06 % por medicamentos, 16.18 % por enfermedad, 11.76 % por alcohol, 8.24 % por tabaco y 6.47 % por ejercicio. Conclusión: Se encontró que las causas con frecuencia alta fueron ayuno, medicamentos, enfermedad y alcohol, mientras que las de frecuencia moderada fueron tabaco y ejercicio; no se registró frecuencia baja (<5%). Finalmente, la frecuencia global de rechazo fue de 13.71% del total de pacientes atendidos.

The present research study aimed to present the causes and frequency of rejection of biochemistry samples from patients of the occupational clinical laboratory at Natclar Clinic. Method: A descriptive study with a quantitative approach, basic type, and a non-experimental, descriptive, retrospective, and cross-sectional design, analyzing data within a defined period. The total population consisted of 2,480 patients, of whom 1,736 were men and 744 were women, with a sample of 340 rejected patients. The instrument used was a data collection form. Results: It was identified that 75 individuals were rejected due to medication use: 33.33% used metformin, 20% antibiotics, 9.33% NSAIDs, 26.67% statins, and 10.67% corticosteroids, with metformin being the predominant drug. Regarding illness, 55 patients were rejected: 18.18% presented diabetes, 14.55% gastritis, 10.91% hypertension, 27.27% fatty liver, 7.27% severe hyperlipidemia, and 21.82% lipemia, with fatty liver being the most prevalent condition. Likewise, the main causes of sample rejection were: 35.29% due to fasting, 22.06% due to medications, 16.18% due to illness, 11.76% due to alcohol, 8.24% due to tobacco, and 6.47% due to exercise. Conclusion: It was found that the causes with high frequency were fasting, medications, illness, and alcohol, while those with moderate frequency were tobacco and exercise; no low frequency (<5%) causes were recorded. Finally, the overall rejection frequency was 13.71% of the total number of patients attended.
