Uso del celular y la incapacidad por dolor cervical en los estudiantes de séptimo y octavo ciclo de terapia física y rehabilitación de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, 2024

Abstract

Se tuvo como objetivo: Determinar la relación del uso del celular y la incapacidad por dolor cervical de los estudiantes de séptimo y octavo ciclo de terapia física y rehabilitación. Metodología: Se trabajó con una metodología cuantitativa con un diseño no experimental, con un nivel correlacional. Población y muestra: fueron conformada por 125 estudiantes de terapia física y rehabilitación de séptimo y octavo ciclo y se trabajó con una muestra probabilística de 94 estudiantes, en la recolección de datos se hizo uso de dos cuestionarios con el uso de la técnica de la encuesta, cabe recalcar que dichos instrumentos son validados y confiables. Resultados: se observó que al correlacionar el uso del celular con la incapacidad por dolor cervical de los estudiantes, se encontró que del grupo que presenta un uso de celular bajo, manifiesta una discapacidad leve respecto al dolor cervical con un 11,7% en su mayoría. Del mismo modo, los que presentan un uso del celular regular, manifiestan una discapacidad leve con un 30,9% en su mayoría. Por otro lado, los que presentan un uso del celular alto, manifiestan una discapacidad moderada con un 11,7% respecto al dolor cervical. Se concluyó que existe relación directa entre el uso del celular y la incapacidad por dolor cervical en los estudiantes de séptimo y octavo ciclo de terapia física y rehabilitación de la Universidad Norbert Wiener 2024, según la correlación de 0.714 con una significancia del 0.000 menor al 0.01.

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between cell phone use and disability due to neck pain in students in the seventh and eighth cycle of physical therapy and rehabilitation. Methodology: A quantitative methodology was used with a non-experimental design, with a correlational level. Population and sample: they were made up of 125 students of physical therapy and rehabilitation of the seventh and eighth cycle and worked with a probabilistic sample of 94 students, in the collection of data two questionnaires were used with the use of the survey technique, it should be emphasized that these instruments are validated and reliable. Results: It was observed that when correlating the use of the cell phone with the disability due to neck pain of the students, it was found that the group that presents a low cell phone use, manifests a mild disability with respect to neck pain with 11.7% in its majority. Similarly, those who have regular cell phone use manifest a mild disability with 30.9% in the majority. On the other hand, those who have a high cell phone use manifest a moderate disability with 11.7% with respect to neck pain. It was concluded that there is a direct relationship between cell phone use and disability due to neck pain in students of the seventh and eighth cycle of physical therapy and rehabilitation at Norbert Wiener University 2024, according to the correlation of 0.714 with a significance of 0.000 less than 0.01.
