Tendencias en la formulación magistral del policlínico “Villa Militar de Chorrillos” de julio–setiembre de 2018

Abstract

Trends in magistral compounding at the "Villa Militar de Chorrillos" polyclinic show a 9.4% growth in the number of prescriptions from 2017 to 2018, with 65.4% patient acceptance regarding the success of this therapeutic alternative. Objective: This study aimed to determine the trends in magistral compounding at the "Villa Militar de Chorrillos" polyclinic from July to September 2018. Methodology: The research type was descriptive. The sample was randomly selected and consisted of 136 patients from the dermatology area of the "Villa Militar de Chorrillos" polyclinic who had been prescribed a magistral formula during the specified months. The data collection technique and instruments included the daily prescription records, medication price formats, and patient surveys. Results: A growing trend in the number of prescriptions was observed for the July-September quarters of 2016, 2017, and 2018, with 181, 192, and 210 prescriptions, respectively. 76% of the formula users were female, and 57% were young people between 18 and 25 years old. 55.9% of patients expressed high satisfaction with their treatment, 68.4% showed high treatment adherence, and 72.8% had high knowledge about the formula. Conclusion: A 9.4% growth trend was determined in the number of prescriptions for the July-September 2018 quarter compared to the same quarter in 2017, along with a predominantly female trend (76%) in the use of these formulas compared to men.

En las tendencias de la Formulación Magistral en el policlínico de la “Villa Militar de Chorrillos” se observa un crecimiento en el número de prescripciones de un 9,4% entre el 2017 al 2018, existe una aceptación de 65,4%, en cuanto al éxito de esta alternativa terapéutica por parte de los pacientes. Objetivo: Determinar las tendencias en la formulación Magistral del policlínico “Villa Militar de Chorrillos” de Julio-Setiembre de 2018. Metodología: El tipo de investigación es descriptivo. La muestra fue seleccionada de manera aleatoria y estuvo constituida por 136 pacientes del policlínico Villa Militar de Chorrillos del área de dermatología que hayan sido prescritos con fórmula magistral en los meses: Julio-Setiembre de 2018. La técnica y el instrumento de recolección de datos fueron el registro de prescripciones recopiladas diariamente durante el periodo establecido, formatos de precios de medicamentos y encuestas al paciente. Resultados: Se observa una evolución creciente en el número de prescripciones en el trimestre Julio-Setiembre del 2016 al 2017 y 2018 con 181, 192 y 210 prescripciones respectivamente, el 76% de usuarios de esta fórmula son mujeres y el 57% son jóvenes entre 18 a 25 años. El 55,9% de los pacientes manifestaron una alta satisfacción respecto al tratamiento. El 68,4% de los pacientes presentaron una alta adherencia respecto al tratamiento y un 72,8% un alto conocimiento. Conclusión: Se determinó una tendencia a crecimiento en el número de prescripciones del 9,4% en el trimestre Julio-Setiembre de 2018 con respecto al mismo trimestre del año 2017 y una tendencia mayoritaria femenino en el uso de las fórmulas (76%) en comparación con los hombres.
