Uso de las herramientas web 2.0 y el desarrollo del aprendizaje en estudiantes universitarios de Lima, 2021

Abstract

Cada vez es más usual ver a los estudiantes conectados durante muchas horas a un equipo tecnológico para desarrollar sus actividades académicas y al mismo tiempo mirar sus redes preferidas, que cada vez se van adentrando más en las aulas. Las herramientas Web 2.0 promueve una mayor participación del usuario en el manejo de los contenidos, incluso su uso forma parte del quehacer cotidiano de los estudiantes por ello las instituciones educativas no pueden estar alejados de esta realidad y estos nuevos entornos virtuales, posibilitando otras oportunidades para aprender. El objetivo general para esta investigación fue conocer el uso que le dan los estudiantes a las herramientas web 2.0 para desarrollo de su aprendizaje, fomentando el acercamiento entre el docente y el alumno, desde la interacción y espacio de diálogo, para luego dar lugar al aprendizaje y enriquecimiento mutuo. Las dimensiones utilizadas fueron: Redes sociales, Podcast, Chat y Gestores de contenido. Con un foque cuantitativo y una población de 100 estudiantes universitarios, los resultados demostraron que los estudiantes hacen uso de las herramientas web 2.0 de manera continua y significativa, sin embargo, la relación es débil respecto al desarrollo del aprendizaje, el 87% usa frecuentemente alguna herramienta web 2.0 y un 56% de ellos lo usan con fines académicos.

It is becoming more and more common to see students connected for many hours to a technological team to develop their academic activities and at the same time look at their favorite networks, which are increasingly penetrating the classrooms. Web 2.0 tools promote greater user participation in the management of content, even its use is part of the daily work of students, therefore educational institutions cannot be far from this reality and these new virtual environments, enabling other opportunities for learn. The general objective for this research was to know the use that students give to web 2.0 tools for the development of their learning, fostering the approach between the teacher and the student, from the interaction and space for dialogue, and then lead to learning and mutual enrichment. The dimensions used were social networks, Podcast, Chat and Content managers. With a quantitative focus and a population of 100 university students, the results showed that students make use of web 2.0 tools continuously and significantly, however, the relationship is weak regarding the development of learning, 87% frequently use some web 2.0 tool and 56% of them use it for academic purposes.
