Autoestima y autocuidado en el adulto mayor en el hogar de ancianos Chincha 2024

Abstract

La presente investigación titulada “Autoestima y Autocuidado en el adulto mayor en el hogar de Ancianos Chincha 2024”, planteó como objetivo establecer la relación entre la autoestima y el autocuidado en adultos mayores. Se llevará a cabo un estudio cuantitativo con un enfoque hipotético-deductivo, de carácter aplicado y nivel correlacional, utilizando un diseño observacional descriptivo transversal. La población de interés está compuesta por 80 adultos mayores de 60 años alojados en una casa hogar, quienes participaron respondiendo cuestionarios sobre su nivel de autoestima según el instrumento de Coopersmith (1987) y sobre autocuidado. Se empleará el programa estadístico SPSS v.26 para analizar los datos obtenidos de toda la población. Durante la ejecución del estudio, se adherieron a los principios éticos de investigación para preservar la integridad de los participantes, garantizando la confidencialidad y el anonimato de la información recopilada.

The present research titled “Self-esteem and Self-care in the elderly in the Chincha 2024 Elderly Home”, aimed to establish the relationship between self-esteem and self-care in older adults. A quantitative study will be carried out with a hypothetical-deductive approach, of an applied nature and correlational level, using a cross-sectional descriptive observational design. The population of interest is made up of 80 adults over 60 years of age staying in a home, who participated by answering questionnaires about their level of self-esteem according to Coopersmith's instrument (1987) and about self-care. The SPSS v.26 statistical program will be used to analyze the data obtained from the entire population. During the execution of the study, ethical research principles were adhered to to preserve the integrity of the participants, guaranteeing the confidentiality and anonymity of the information collected.
