Actitud y práctica del uso de plantas medicinales en usuarios de un mercado del distrito de Carabayllo, 2023

Abstract

El estudio tuvo como objetivo “determinar la relación entre la actitud y práctica del uso de plantas medicinales en usuarios de un mercado de un distrito de Carabayllo”. El tipo de investigación fue aplicada, hipotético-deductivo, no experimental, transversal y correlacional. La población estuvo conformada por 385 usuarios que acuden a dicho mercado. Como resultado se halló que existe relación entre la variable actitud de uso de plantas medicinales y las dimensiones forma de uso (Sig.=0,000) y motivos de uso (Sig.=0,000). También hubo relación entre la variable prácticas de uso de plantas medicinales y las dimensiones creencias (Sig.=0,000), expectativas de mejora (Sig.=0,000) y entre la dimensión costos (Sig.=0,022). Destacando que no existió relación entre la actitud de uso de plantas medicinales y la dimensión frecuencia de uso (Sig.=0,211). Se concluye que existe relación entre la actitud y práctica del uso de plantas medicinales (Sig.=0,000).

The aim of the study was to ‘determine the relationship between the attitude and practice of using medicinal plants in users of a market’. The type of research was applied, hypothetico deductive, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational. The population consisted of the users of a market in the district of Carabayllo, with a sample of 385 users. As results, it was found that there is a relationship between the variable attitude towards the use of medicinal plants and the dimension type and form of use (Sig.=0.000) and the dimension motives for use (Sig.=0.000). There was also a relationship between the variable practices of medicinal plant use and the dimension beliefs and perceptions (Sig.=0.000), expectations of improvement (Sig.=0.000) and between the dimension costs and affordability (Sig.=0.022). It should be noted that there was no relationship between the attitude towards the use of medicinal plants and the dimension frequency of use (Sig.=0.211). It is concluded that there is a relationship between attitude and practice of medicinal plant use (Sig.=0.000).
