Actitud del cuidador familiar y la sobrecarga de pacientes con esquizofrenia de un hospital especializado de Lima, 2025

Abstract

Introducción: El presente estudio busca evidenciar que una condición de salud, afecta al paciente y también repercute significativamente en su familia, especialmente los que asumen el rol de cuidadores. Objetivo: Establecer el vínculo entre la actitud del cuidador familiar y la sobrecarga que experimentan los cuidadores de personas diagnosticados con esquizofrenia, recibidos en un hospital especializado de Lima, 2025. Metodología: Se empleará, método hipotético-deductivo, bajo el diseño no experimental, cuantitativo, descriptivo, aplicado, correlacional de sección transversal. Para dicho fin se contemplará dos variables analizadas en un único momento. La muestra estará compuesta por 60 cuidadores que asisten a las consultas externas del hospital. La viabilidad de los instrumentos será verificada por un grupo de expertos en el tema, mientras que la fiabilidad se determinará mediante el coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach, esperando valores comprendidos entre 0.72 y 0.99, lo que reflejaría una alta consistencia interna. Finalmente, la información obtenida se procesará con el software estadístico SPSS, y Los datos se mostrarán mediante tablas y diagramas estadísticos. Con la finalidad de establecer la relación de las variables, se utilizará la prueba no paramétrica Rho de Spearman.

Introduction: This study aims to demonstrate that a health condition affects the patient and also significantly impacts their family, especially those who assume the role of caregiver. Objective: To establish the link between the attitude of the family caregiver and the burden experienced by caregivers of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, admitted to a specialized hospital in Lima, 2025. Methodology: A hypothetical-deductive method will be used, under a non-experimental, quantitative, descriptive, applied, correlational, cross-sectional design. Two variables will be analyzed at a single point in time. The sample will consist of 60 caregivers who attend the hospital's outpatient clinics. The feasibility of the instruments will be verified by a group of experts in the field, while reliability will be determined using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, with expected values between 0.72 and 0.99, reflecting high internal consistency. Finally, the information obtained will be processed using the SPSS statistical software, and the data will be displayed using statistical tables and graphs. To establish the relationship between the variables, the non-parametric Spearman's Rho test will be used.
