Adherencia al tratamiento y complicaciones sobre Diabetes Mellitus II en pacientes del centro de salud CLAS Villa Alejandro - Lurín. Lima, 2024

Abstract

El objetivo del estudio fue “Determinar la relación entre adherencia al tratamiento y las complicaciones sobre diabetes mellitus II en pacientes del Centro de salud CLAS Villa Alejandro – Lurín. Lima, 2024”. Método: Fue de tipo básico, con enfoque cuantitativo, carácter deductivo y diseño no experimental, de corte transversal y nivel correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por pacientes diagnosticados con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 atendidos en el Centro de salud CLAS Villa Alejandro, seleccionados mediante muestreo no probabilístico. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de un cuestionario estructurado validado por juicio de expertos y sometido a prueba de confiabilidad mediante el coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach. El procesamiento de la información se realizó utilizando el programa estadístico SPSS versión 27, aplicando estadística descriptiva e inferencial. Resultados: Se evidenció que la mayoría de los pacientes presentó un nivel de adherencia moderado al tratamiento y predominio de complicaciones leves asociadas a la enfermedad. Asimismo, se identificó una relación negativa y estadísticamente significativa entre la adherencia al tratamiento y las complicaciones en diabetes mellitus tipo 2. Conclusión: Se determinó que existe relación significativa entre la adherencia al tratamiento y las complicaciones en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 del Centro de salud CLAS Villa Alejandro, evidenciando la importancia del cumplimiento terapéutico y del seguimiento farmacoterapéutico para prevenir complicaciones y mejorar la calidad de vida del paciente.

The objective of the study was “To determine the relationship between treatment adherence and complications of diabetes mellitus type II in patients from the CLAS Villa Alejandro Health Center - Lurín, Lima, 2024.” Method: This was a basic study with a quantitative approach, deductive method, and non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational level. The sample consisted of patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus treated at the CLAS Villa Alejandro Health Center, selected through non-probabilistic sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire validated by expert judgment and tested for reliability using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Data processing was performed using SPSS version 27, applying descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: Most patients showed a moderate level of treatment adherence and a predominance of mild complications associated with the disease. Likewise, a negative and statistically significant relationship was identified between treatment adherence and complications in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: A significant relationship was found between treatment adherence and complications in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus from the CLAS Villa Alejandro Health Center, highlighting the importance of therapeutic compliance and pharmacotherapeutic follow-up to prevent complications and improve patients’ quality of life.
