Efectos de un programa fisioterapéutico de neurorrehabilitación en la recuperación del miembro superior en adultos mayores con hemiplejia Trujillo 2025

Abstract

El accidente cerebrovascular (ACV) constituye una de las principales causas de discapacidad neurológica a nivel mundial, siendo la hemiplejía una de sus secuelas más frecuentes y limitantes. Esta investigación tiene como propósito determinar el efecto de un programa fisioterapéutico de neurorrehabilitación en la recuperación funcional del miembro superior en pacientes con hemiplejía atendidos en el Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray de Trujillo, 2025. El estudio se desarrollará bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño preexperimental y aplicación de pretest y post test en un solo grupo. La muestra estará conformada por 30 pacientes con diagnóstico de hemiplejía post-ACV, seleccionados mediante muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Se emplearán dos instrumentos principales: una lista de cotejo de observación para registrar la ejecución de los ejercicios del programa de neurorrehabilitación, y el cuestionario Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH), validado internacionalmente, para medir el nivel de funcionalidad del miembro superior en actividades de la vida diaria, deportivas y laborales. Los datos serán procesados mediante estadística descriptiva e inferencial, utilizando la prueba t de Student para muestras relacionadas con un nivel de significancia del 0,05. Se espera que los resultados evidencien mejoras significativas en la función motora y sensorial del miembro superior tras la aplicación del programa, contribuyendo al fortalecimiento de las estrategias terapéuticas en neurorrehabilitación y a la optimización de la calidad de vida de los pacientes con hemiplejía.

Cerebrovascular accident (CVA) is one of the main causes of neurological disability worldwide, with hemiplegia being one of its most frequent and limiting sequelae. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of a neurorehabilitation physiotherapy program on the functional recovery of the upper limb in patients with hemiplegia treated at the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital in Trujillo, 2025. The study will be developed under a quantitative approach, with a pre-experimental design and application of pre-test and post-test in a single group. The sample will consist of 30 patients diagnosed with post-stroke hemiplegia, selected by non-probabilistic convenience sampling. Two main instruments will be used: an observation checklist to record the performance of the exercises of the neurorehabilitation program, and the internationally validated Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH) questionnaire to measure the level of functionality of the upper limb in activities of daily living, sports and work. The data will be processed using descriptive and inferential statistics, using Student's t-test for related samples with a significance level of 0.05. The results are expected to show significant improvements in the motor and sensory function of the upper limb after the application of the program, contributing to the strengthening of therapeutic strategies in neurorehabilitation and the optimization of the quality of life of patients with hemiplegia.
