| es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Dimensional precision of impression materials determines master cast fidelity and complete denture adaptation; however, evidence remains heterogeneous regarding their behavior at clinically relevant pouring intervals. Objective: To determine which impression material—addition silicone (Panasil monophase Medium), eugenol-free zinc oxide paste (Cavex Outline), condensation silicone (Speedex medium), or zinc oxide–eugenol paste (Perfex)—shows the greatest linear dimensional stability at 0, 30, 60 min, and 24 h. Methods: Applied, explanatory, in vitro experimental study using a metallic reference die based on American National Standards Institute/American Dental Association (ANSI/ADA) Standard No. 19 and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 4823:2015. Eighty disc-shaped specimens were fabricated (n = 20 per material). Percentage linear variation (AL % = 100 × (L₁ − L₂) / L₁) was measured along line c with a calibrated external micrometer (0.001 mm). A 4 × 4 factorial analysis of variance (ANOVA), partial eta squared (n²p), Bonferroni correction, and Kruskal-Wallis test were used. Results: Panasil showed the lowest mean variation at all time points (0.053% at 0 min; 0.177% at 24 h), followed by Cavex (0.196%–0.447%), Perfex (0.282%–0.692%), and Speedex medium (0.838%–1.257%). Significant effects were found for material (F = 122.44; p < 0.001; n²p = 0.561) and time (F = 11.68; p < 0.001; n²p = 0.109), with no significant interaction. Conclusion: Panasil monophase Medium showed the highest linear dimensional stability and appears to be the most reliable option for complete denture impressions. | en_US |
