Ansiedad y depresión en adultos residentes de un condominio residencial del distrito de Cercado de Lima, 2024

Abstract

En este estudio se presentó el objetivo de evaluar la relación entre la ansiedad y depresión en adultos residentes de un condominio residencial del distrito de cercado de Lima. Para tal motivo, se delimitó un diseño no experimental, nivel correlacional, corte transversal, enfoque cuantitativo; para tales fines se aplicó el Inventario de Ansiedad de Beck y el Inventario de Depresión de Beck-II, a un grupo de 341 adultos varones (44%) y mujeres (56%), con edades entre 18 y 64 años que pertenecen a un centro residencial del Cercado de Lima. A partir del análisis estadístico se encontró que la ansiedad y depresión se correlacionaron significativamente en intensidad alta y positiva (rho=0.88, p<0.05), esto se replicó al evaluar la relación entre la ansiedad y las dimensiones somático motivacional (rho=0.81; p<0.05) y cognitivo (rho=0.82; p<0.05). Se concluyó que, si la depresión en estos residentes aumenta, los niveles de ansiedad también lo harán de forma proporcional.

In this study, the objective of evaluating the relationship between anxiety and depression in adult residents of a residential condominium in the Cercado district of Lima was presented. For this reason, a non-experimental design, correlational level, cross-sectional, quantitative approach was defined; For this purpose, the Beck Anxiety Inventory and the Beck Depression Inventory-II were applied to a group of 341 adult males (44%) and females (56%), aged between 18 and 64 years who belonged to a residential center of Cercado de Lima. From the statistical analysis it was found that anxiety and depression were significantly correlated in high and positive intensity (rho=0.88; p<0.05), this was replicated when evaluating the relationship between anxiety and the somatic-motivational dimensions (rho=0.81; p<0.05) and cognitive (rho=0.82; p<0.05). It was concluded that, if depression in these residents increases, anxiety levels will also increase proportionally.
