The management of university quality and the accreditation process in the faculty of industrial and systems engineering of the Federico Villareal National University

Abstract

The aim of the present research work was to determine whether there is a relationship between the management of the quality of education and the accreditation process at the faculty of industrial and systems engineering from the Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal, 2019. This thesis research focused on the problematic situation in terms of the factors of quality management that can affect the process of accreditation of the power of industrial and systems Engineering of the UNFV. Some factors considered have been the institutional management, the administrative management, the curriculum management and the management of the research. The research methodology was based on a model that is not experimental, with a descriptive – correlational and the sample was 80 people between the flat administrative and teaching faculty who practice a survey, using a questionnaire conducted on the Likert scale, this in order to easily measure their opinion and their responses to claims that are unknown, as a main result it was determined that the quality of the management of education was significantly related to the accreditation process at the faculty of industrial and systems engineering from the Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal, 2019, as we obtained a correlation coefficient Rho of Spearman, has the value of 0.726** and the sigma (bilateral) is 0.000 which is less than the parameter theoretical of 0.05.

El objetivo del presente trabajo de investigación, fue determinar si existe relación entre la gestión de la calidad educativa y el proceso de acreditación en la facultad de ingeniería industrial y de sistemas de la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal, 2019. Esta tesis de investigación se centró en la situación problemática en cuanto a los factores de la gestión de la calidad que pueden afectar el proceso de acreditación de la facultad de Ingeniería industrial y de sistemas de la UNFV. Algunos factores considerados han sido la gestión institucional, la gestión administrativa, la gestión curricular y la gestión de la investigación. La metodología de la investigación estuvo basada en un modelo no experimental, con un tipo descriptivo – correlacional y la muestra fue de 80 personas entre la plana administrativa y docente de la facultad a los que se les practico una encuesta, mediante un cuestionario realizado bajo la escala de Likert, esto con el fin de medir fácilmente su opinión y sus respuestas ante afirmaciones que desconocieran, como principal resultado se determinó que la calidad de la gestión educativa se relaciona significativamente con el proceso de acreditación en la facultad de ingeniería industrial y de sistemas de la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal, 2019, ya que se obtuvo un coeficiente de correlación Rho de Spearman, tiene el valor de 0.726** y la sigma (bilateral) es de 0,000 el mismo que es menor al parámetro teórico de 0,05.
