Nivel de conocimiento y actitud frente a la vacunación contra SARS-CoV-2 en la población adulta en una botica de Villa Las Palmas – Lurín, 2022

Abstract

The pandemic has not yet ended, and alarms have been raised again in Asian countries regarding a resurgence of the disease. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge and attitude toward SARS-CoV-2 vaccination in the adult population visiting the Pharmavital drugstore in Villa las Palmas-Lurín, 2022. Method: The method was deductive, with a quantitative approach and an applied, non-experimental design. The population consisted of adult participants, and the sample was 384 people. The technique employed was a survey, and the instrument was a questionnaire. Data were processed using Excel and SPSS systems. Results: Of 384 people, 74.22% were female, 56.66% were married, 63.54% had a secondary education, and 64.03% had a history of COVID-19. Regarding the level of knowledge, 74% had good knowledge of the vaccine type, 55.7% had good information about the vaccine, and 56.3% had good knowledge about vaccine myths. Furthermore, 82.6% were in agreement with the cognitive disposition toward vaccination, 75.5% with the behavioral disposition, and 77.3% with the emotional disposition. Conclusions: The level of knowledge about the vaccine was good, and there was agreement in cognitive, behavioral, and emotional attitude among the surveyed adult population.

La pandemia aún no ha acabado, en los países asiáticos nuevamente se prendieron las alarmas sobre el rebrote de esta enfermedad. Objetivo. Determinar el nivel de conocimiento y actitud sobre la vacunación contra el SARS-CoV-2 en la población adulta que acude a la botica Pharmavital de Villa las Palmas-Lurin,2022. Método. El método fue deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental. La población fue conformada por participantes mayores de edad, la muestra fue 384 personas. La técnica empleada fue la encuesta y el instrumento el cuestionario, los datos fueron procesado por el sistema Excel y SPSS. Resultados: De 384 personas, 74,22% fueron mujeres, 56.66% eran casados, 63.54% tenían estudios secundarios, 64.03% tuvieron antecedentes de Covid-19. Sobre nivel de conocimiento; 74% tenían buen conocimiento del tipo de vacuna, 55.7% tenían buena información sobre la vacuna y 56.3% tenían buen conocimiento sobre mitos de la vacuna. Asimismo; 82.6% estuvieron de acuerdo con actitud cognitiva sobre la vacunación, 75.5% de acuerdo con actitud conductual y 77.3% de acuerdo con actitud emocional. Conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento sobre la vacuna fue buena y estuvieron de acuerdo en actitud cognitiva, conductual y emocional en la población adulta encuestada.
