Ansiedad y calidad de vida de los pacientes con diálisis peritoneal de un hospital de Lima, 2025

Abstract

Introducción: La ansiedad es un fenómeno frecuente en pacientes con enfermedades crónicas, que puede afectar tanto el bienestar emocional como la adaptación a los tratamientos médicos; al margen de esto, la calidad de vida refleja la percepción del individuo sobre su salud, entorno y relaciones sociales, siendo un indicador fundamental en el cuidado integral. En pacientes sometidos a diálisis peritoneal, estos aspectos adquieren especial relevancia debido a la naturaleza prolongada y compleja del tratamiento; de este modo, comprender la relación entre ansiedad y calidad de vida permite visibilizar las necesidades emocionales y físicas de esta población vulnerable. En objetivo de la presente investigación fue objetivo fue identificar la relación entre la ansiedad y la calidad de vida de los pacientes con diálisis peritoneal de un hospital, Lima – 2025. La metodología fue hipotético-deductivo, tipo aplicado, diseño no experimental, nivel correlacional, enfoque cuantitativo, corte transversal; las cuales se aplicará el instrumento Escala de Autoevaluación de Ansiedad de Zung con 20 items y el WHOQOL-BREF con 26 items, para medir cada variable, la población consta de 125 pacientes con diálisis peritoneal. Los resultados se recolectarán en una hoja de cálculo y luego se aplicarán las pruebas estadísticas correspondientes por el programa SPSS V. 0.25 para realizar el tratamiento de datos correspondiente y dar con los resultados de la investigación.

Introduction: Anxiety is a common phenomenon in patients with chronic diseases, which can affect both emotional well-being and adaptation to medical treatments. Apart from this, quality of life reflects the individual's perception of their health, environment and social relationships, making it a fundamental indicator in comprehensive care. In patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis, these aspects are particularly relevant due to the prolonged and complex nature of the treatment. Understanding the relationship between anxiety and quality of life allows us to highlight the emotional and physical needs of this vulnerable population. The objective of this research was to identify the relationship between anxiety and quality of life in patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis at a hospital in Lima in 2025. The methodology was hypothetical-deductive, applied, non experimental, correlational, quantitative, and cross-sectional. The Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale with 20 items and the WHOQOL-BREF with 26 items were used to measure each variable. The population consisted of 125 patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis. The results will be collected in a spreadsheet and then the corresponding statistical tests will be applied using the SPSS V. 0.25 programme to perform the corresponding data processing and obtain the research results.
