San Juan Lurigancho. 2026”.
Hemiplegia causes a critical impairment in motor control and postural stability, factors that exponentially increase susceptibility to adverse mobility events. The physical limitations experienced by these patients not only restrict their autonomy but also contribute to a higher risk of falls with disabling consequences. Therefore, this study aims to "Determine the relationship between fall risk and physical performance in patients with hemiplegia at a private healthcare center in San Juan Lurigancho, Peru, in 2026." The methodology is hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, non-experimental, and descriptive-correlational. The sample consists of 45 participants. Data collection will be carried out using the Tinetti Physical Assessment Scale (POMA) and the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test, which assesses physical performance by measuring the time required to complete a functional mobility activity. Both instruments have demonstrated high convergent validity and reliability (ICC > 0.90) in previous studies conducted with Peruvian populations. Data processing will be carried out using IBM SPSS Statistics version 27. This study will serve to correlate the risk of falls and physical performance in patients with hemiplegia.
