El mundo envejece a un ritmo vertiginoso, cada vez hay mayor demanda en este grupo etario y tenemos que, estar preparados para brindarles una vejez saludable, el adulto mayor se va haciendo más frágil, por lo que se puede observar una mayor discapacidad lumbar y cambios en su velocidad de marcha, lo cual es un fuerte predictor de mortalidad y así mismo se ve afectado a siendo los más propensos a las caídas con lleva limitaciones para sus actividades de la vida diaria, es por eso que en este trabajo de investigación busca conocer ¿Cuál es la relación entre discapacidad lumbar y riesgo de caídas en adultos mayores? Por ello se evaluará la discapacidad lumbar y riesgo de caídas, se buscará la relación que existe entre ellos. Objetivos: Determinar la relación entre discapacidad lumbar y riesgo de caídas en adultos mayores. Material y Método: hipotético-deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, en 80 adultos mayores con lumbalgia asegurados en el Centro de Salud Nacional ubicado en el distrito de Chaclacayo, se les realizará una evaluación de la discapacidad lumbar mediante la utilización de la "Escala de Oswestry", como para el riesgo de caída a través del "Test Tinetti .
Resumen
The world is aging at a dizzying pace, there is an ever-increasing demand in this age group, and we must be prepared to provide them with a healthy old age. Older adults become more frail, so we can observe greater lumbar disability and changes in their walking speed, which is a strong predictor of mortality. They are also affected, being more prone to falls, which leads to limitations in their activities of daily living. That is why this research seeks to understand the relationship between lumbar disability and the risk of falls in older adults. Therefore, lumbar disability and the risk of falls will be evaluated, and the relationship between them will be explored. Objectives: To determine the relationship between lumbar disability and the risk of falls in older adults. Material and Method: hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, non-experimental design, in 80 older adults with lower back pain insured at the National Health Center located in the district of Chaclacayo, a lumbar disability assessment will be performed using the "Oswestry Scale", as well as the "Tinetti Test" for the risk of falls.
